First off, might I say "bravo" on an truely epic game. I've not had such a challenging yet worth while experience for a long time
There are a few things that I would wish for however == 1) despite independant planets not recognising permits etc, they still demand a military rank before they sell you military upgrades. Since you can't buy a military rank with independents, this makes it somewhat frustrating
Can you either give us the option to buy military ranks, or drop the need for it, with indies please? == 2) When buying solar sail upgrades, can it be made so we don't have to also buy "solar sail repairs" immediately afterwards? == 3) Any chance of a "next/back" button so we can browse and compare the ships on sale without losing the option to buy them forever? ==
Your game is awesome, and I greatly appreciate any comments you have on the above wishes
thanks again Davos

1 => this is an oversight on my part. i will fix this in a balanced fashion in v2.8 2 => hmmm. the upgrades would have to cost more. I know what you are talking about tho. 3 => I will try to include this in v2.8 but it might take more like v2.9. Here is a list of ships: www.corytrese.com/games/startraders/StarTradersShips.pdf

Hey Cory,
I think was Davos meant by 3) was when you're looking at buying a ship, rather then giving you one shot to either buy, or not buy said ship (as soon as you decline buying a ship, it's gone for good), to show a list of the ships that are for sale at that Star Port. I'd also like to see an easier way to compare your current ship to the one up for sale, rather than flipping back and forth between the Ship Status window and the buy ship window.

never mind, I should have properly read your post first, I see you've addressed that!

I am going to use an interface with two panels, like Combat.
It will show the current ship on the left and another ship on the right.
The ship on the Right might be:
- For Sale - Captured - Crashed - In Dry Dock
There will be a button (or swipe) if the ship on the right is part of a list. That way a catalog of ships for sale, or a Captain's vast collection of ships, can be viewed in a sequence.
My test Captain enjoys flipping back and forth between his three ships. A Jango, a Paladin and a Battleship (for those pesky Alien.)
A upcoming upgrade will fix "Ships for Sale" so that they persist like upgrades do. There will be an auction type system -- if you buy it the first time you see it (like it is today) you get a 10% discount. Otherwise, it goes into that Urban Zone's Dry Dock. Once the Captain has seen all the ships (or the Dry Dock is full) this catalog (swipe/button list, compared to current ship) will be available to shop.
