Should I move the not-about-the-poll posts to the Torp thread? I can do that ... I think En1gma's right, grävling. A lot of the mish-mash on this thread, is not related to ANY thread, including the "Torp Thread". I will just behave myself more in future and consider people like CdrPlatypus, who want to have a more "professional" experience. PLUS. I don't actually use patreon. I go through other routes. So I should not undermine what other people have so generously supported. I wasn't TRYING to be disruptive, but the end result still was. Yep. Learn and move on. Well done for speaking out CdrPlatypus. This is what forum life SHOULD be like. We're ALL important.

Cg if you really wanna mix things up, sign up and vote torps. That's scary! You're starting to sound like fallen. Anyway. I've promised to behave on Patreon Threads. No. I made a decision not to commit to direct debit, or fixed payments with the TB's, (or anyone else, apart from having no choice, with the Broadband Connection). I don't even like having Kickstarter Badges under my name. Stealth, all the way. No-one should have known about the Alpha Access places, I donated. My fault. Should have reminded fallen.

The Derail Express comes in and stops. Ntsheep looks out the window, "Well I'll be damned." "What is it?" said the Ratkin. "They're rebuilding the thread, putting it back on track. I've never seen them try this before." Ntsheep replied. "Is this good or bad?" asked the Ratkin. "Good really, a little bad since it's our mission to find the best derailed threads. When I popped in here the other day, I didn't think it was going to get like this. Even though it is not written down, certain threads should be left alone until the right time." "And when its the right time, what happens?" "That my dear ROUS is where we come in. slayernz begins the assault with a cat photo or two. Prince beuns makes sure the attack plans are in order so the Queen get the best laugh she can. We help out with a precision strike or two and make sure the thread is ready to be recorded in the Best Derailed Threads thread." "That's a lot of work." "Correct, few people realize just what is involved in derailing a thread. We don't go off half cocked, it takes careful planning and strategy." "So what do we do about this one?" "Wait for the Queen's command and beware the Badger, she's more powerful than most realize. One wrong move and she'll become a most dangerous enemy."

Very flattering, ntsheep but .... one of the goals of the Patreon threads is to get the TB more patreons. And while bringing the cat and En1gma over most certainly counts, and feels great ... the most revenue for the TB will come if we can get new Patreons from those new people who are _not_ already regular members of the startradersrpg lunatic farm. We've got all of the other threads for that. If being a Patreon becomes only the deepest of insider jokes around here, then the TB will not raise all the revenue we wish they had. So ... I don't know if 'professional' is the correct word to use, but I think we should try to keep these threads _accessible_ at any rate. Grävling

grävling - thank you for sharing that. It's really important that the forum stay accessible to new users, that there is quality content here, and threads that can be read by the 500 guests who visited in the last 24 hours who read our content, play our games, and decide whether or not to join the forum.

I'm going to focus more on downloadables. Also John Robinson is no longer heading up the "Welcome To The Forum", survival thread, because of his new responsibilities with TBG, so that needs attention. How to post pictures etc. Lots of SERIOUS stuff to get done.

Thanks to all our sheep, badgers, cgs, and the rest for being a great welcoming committee We need a lively, unique, and informative place to draw in new users. Fun and derailing has a place in that, but thanks to all for fostering the full ecosystem!

Lets go ahead and make a new thread called "When not to derail threads", move all the posts from this one not related to the topic to show new members what to and not to do. Some threads I think that should be protected,
Poll threads
Bug reports
Community games

To start trying to get more people to join the forum, why not start mentioning it in the reviews we leave on our respective stores? Maybe make a link and a brief mention of it/preemptive welcome to it. Plenty of people read them, why not being attention to the main place that fallen and Cory Trese interact with the gamers on a mass scale (aside from email and such). This would increase the changes of them stumbling across Patreon...

slayernzRegarding the "Cat Director" backstage photo. How could I have been so disgusted and still watch the movie twice leaving a 5 star rating ? Purrrfect sound track. I'm going to watch this thread closely for more previews.
