Almost exactly like I pictured in my mind when the Nano slag would attack a person and spread. This is going to be AWESOME! You know. My editor said that I needed to add a little more humor. Today, while altering a chapter midbook, I came up with an implausible YET plausible conversation involving sheep. Which, of course, made me think of you. I am so including that in the book before it goes into line editing and final proofreading. rabid

Wow! I'm honored. I can't wait till it's done. This editor must have an even more warped mind than you and I if they want more humour. I always thought that it already had a good balance of funny.

Actually, my editor hated the book. She kicked my butt from page one. 800 negative comments don't happen because someone likes a story.
It's one of the reasons I am satisfied with her work. Almost all her criticism appears spot on. Even more importantly, it FEELS right. I can see the change in the book.
I've had to rewrite around 6 entire chapters, dumped (easily) six thousand words, only to rewrite them differently. I even had to ADD a chapter to the book, yet the -length- of the book remains the same.
Loads of changes. '
Well, back to work. I have a deadline.

I have a family member who is an established writer. She says the editing process does get considerably easier the next time, but is still a pain.
H.P. Lovecraft, as it turns out, Liked to send his work back to the editor without touching it. More often than not, it passed muster.

Regardless of the movie, I am intrigued by the thought of the '100 books everyone should read.'. I might want to do that. Though, I laugh at the thought that 100 books are a lot of books.
