Many of us will likely buy multiple games over the course of a year, we will also spend money on other kinds of entertainment.
Considering I paid $1.99 for Star Traders years ago and it is still one of my most played games that initial investment was an amazing value. Likewise the other TB games have been incredibly cheap for the 100s/1000s of hours I've enjoyed them.
I also have a PS3 and will spend much more even buying used games for it than I have on all the TB games and IAPs to date.
The $10 a month for Patreon is a simple way for me to help insure that Two of the hardest working people I know can continue providing these excellent games and hosting such a fan friendly and responsive forum for all.
Hope more people will take a look at their budgets and see how they can help support TB. $1 a month, skip a soda or snack once a month, $5 skip a stop at the local coffee shop once a month, $10? Skip a movie or stay in one night instead of going out. It's a little thing and likely you won't even miss it.
No one expects you to go hungry or not be able to pay your bills, but just like with the Kickstarters it's not about one person supporting the TBs but the power of 100, 1,000, 100,000 each contributing that little bit which makes it work.
To paraphrase another forum member...Free the TBs! Help free them from spending their valuable time worring about paying bills so they can focus on making and improving the games we all love and enjoy so much.

Thank you for saying it so well. Skip the movies and stay home and play the most recently updated game

Give me 4 years to graduate and get a job Lol I have an extremely limited budget, the $10 a month works out to about two packs of cigarets (Trese Bros helping improve my health ). Seriously though think of all the little random things you spend pocket change on now, odds are if your like most people I know you will buy a soda or hit a local fast food place for a snack at least a couple times a month. Having a dollar come out of your monthly budget will be hardly noticeable to you, but that dollar when added to everyone else's starts adding up quickly to make a real difference for the TBs. Just my personal dreaming here but think what a difference it would make for Cory and Andrew if 1,000 of us all managed say $5 a month. Sure won't make them rich but I'm betting we'd see a noticeable improvement in the games we all love.

I do five a month because my budgets tight. I'd love to do more. I view it as paying for the constant updates and great customer service. There was a time when I played MMOs for 15 a month. Got less updates and crappy service. I'd love to see every regular fourm member pitch in at least a dollar a month.
