I just completed the 7th mission—Ferarai Lance: Boarding—on my first play through. I'm really enjoying the game. Did I mention NO Spoilers.
At this point, I’ve played a couple of missions with Tact Points but I’m still not clear on how I get Ordinance from them. What does Ordinance refer to? Do I unlock it in the Requistion Tree?
I’ve also heard mention of health kits. Do I unlock those too? I read here they could be found on some maps, so I uncovered almost every tile on the 7th mission map, no health kits to be found.
Not that I needed them. There was one nasty turn where a couple of hunters and a spitter spawned right next to and attacked a soldier and scout, leaving them at half health.
I’m starting to get suspicious of that green stuff growing in patches on the Lance, the Xeno seem more likely to spawn near it… NO SPOILERS.

Ordinance are items that your templars can use during a mission like med kits. Ordinance that you can get from tac points have to be unlocked in the requisition tree. You can also find ordinance on the map.

Look through the Requisition tree, you have to get certain ones to unlock the various available Ordanances and TP upgrades.
Some you'll probably get around to unlocking anyways as you open up Talents and Gear for your Templars, others you may need to invest RP in areas you wouldn't normally to unlock them.
Med-Kits can be found as Secondary Objectives on some levels but not all. Investing the RP to have them available to buy as Ordanance with SP is a good call plus it's on the Requisition branch leading to getting a Paladin so...

So to use ordnance you:
1) unlock it on the RP tree. 2) Spend your money (or whatever it is) at a TP during a mission to buy the ordnance. They are pretty much all single use things. 3) Select a templar and then use the ordnance by using the button above their portrait. Found ordnance is used in the same way.
Hidden ordnance and secondary objectives normally have a visual clue. It's pretty obvious really, but I won't tell you what it is if you would consider that a spoiler. I've wondered if there are "hidden," unmarked caches anywhere. Anybody found one yet?

Thanks all.
The requisition tree is a bit overwhelming at first, but now I get it. Note I charge deeper into the ferarai.

Originally in alpha they were all unmarked Please report unmarked secondaries. There is one on the Southbound Trail. There is ancient communications equipment on the right side of the path about 3/4 of the way down.

i tried using "Prolonged Deployment" to increase the length of existing buffs by 4 turns. My SP went down, but buff duration was NOT extended.
Do troops need to be adjacent to the tact point for that to work? What about HealthKit?

I've noticed that using Ordanance like Prolonged Deployment and Grenade Resuply will appear not to take effect when used, but if you switch to another Templar then switch back to one you used the Ordinance on the effect is shown.

Thanks xdesperado. Are you saying that Prolonged Deployment will work on all Templars on the map? That they don't need to be next to the Tact Point? Do you have to tap a Templar for it to work? What about Healthkit, can use it to heal any Templar on the map? Do you have to tap the one you want healed?

Selecting the ordinance you want to use with the Templar you want it applied to. You can't use one Templars AP/MP to use Ordanance/Med-Kit on another Templar.
Certain things like Grenade/Turret resuply can only be used when within a certain range of the TP and will tell you if your outside that range.
