 I was thinking about ship combat ui. I was thinking to myself that when it is your turn to select things, all this red area is wasted. If we raised the UI up for the duration of the time when you are making your selections, you would have room to see more of your options. And I only really need 1 graphic for evasive maneuvers, with a number on top, saying how many of them I have. We could move it back down after you hit the 'end turn' button. Which possibly is badly named, it is really more begin combat. And the little Rychart Worm used Sharp Steering to get away from me.  And I was thinking to myself, I would really like a crew combat result button here, for when the battle is over even when the wretch escaped. So I will just look at my ship's log ....  And this is how I discovered that I no longer have 2 officers. The Pistoleer/CombatMed/Doctor with all the doctor points and the Etech/Engineer/Mechanic with all the Repair points. Been with me from day 1.    Lost a top pilot, too. So we're all in mourning, over here right now. Cory Trese will be pleased. |

Making Talents in Ship Combat "pile" so that you only see one Evasion Maneuvers Talent and a "x3" is on our list.

I agree with all above, especially the adding Combat Results buttons/screens to view Ship and Crew damage. Sorry for your loss, grävling. |

I had a similar situation, except my level 17 navigator/commander/smuggler and my level 16 doctor/explorer/spy bit the bullet (along with a whole heap of other valuable crew) while trying to snap screenshots. It was pretty depressing.
Don't hold me to this, but I think that empty space below the ships on the combat screen is where we will see fighters when they are implemented. As such, it's not really wasted space, it's more of a place holder for now.
