Just lot to Heart of Ember at level 37 with the monster being level 38. If seems that the monster have taken a step function increase of dealing damage and the odds of hitting. Where before if they hit, it was for 100-250. Now inside Heart of Ember, the Necromancer at 250-450 and hit more often. So a necromancer can and does three shot Tamilin and Kjartan with above 250 damage each.
Problem - Before I restore, HOS state the Necromancer does up to 160 damage, now it state 520 damage.
The skeletal Bladesman seem to be much hard to hit since entrying the Heart of Ember.
So question is - Did I have string of bad rolls or did the monster have a step increase when I entry the Heart of Ember?

richard - when you return to the City of the Dead, the monsters are definitely harder than the last time you were in the City of the Dead.

For this group, it is the first time through the city of the dead. The comparison of monster is between the heart of the Ember and Northeast section of the city near the second tower

It sounds like you've ran smack into the nasty ranged-attack kind.

Necromancers and Fishkin Mages could be deceitful foes: while most deal weak damage, some hit like a ton of bricks! Worst of all, they look exactly alike, so the only way of knowing is clicking on them to know their damage
