ah, thx for the clarification. Yah, I'm definitely not posting them. I really like the interface of drag and drop with auto-resize on it as well.

I think it depends on if you upload or post them. If you post them they go into some type of voting queue, if you just upload them to an album or something then they never get seen on the front page. Yeah I figured it out. Took me long enough. Site is kinda unclear. But anyway, pics are up in the Humor thread.

I know renaming game elements is out of the question, but I think some different honorifics for the captain or greetings would be cool. There really aren't a lot places where the captain gets addressed directly, but when and where they do it would be cool to see, and maybe it would even vary based on permits and edicts. For example in Steel Song someone who holds an edict is addressed as Den'nak instead of captain. This could potentially be addressed in the stories as well. So there's a challenge for your writing skills fallen. Thulun speech should "feel" different than Alta Mesa. Insults are also a rich field for variation Thuluns should call people they dislike something unique as compared to Moklumnue.

We've added some fun Faction-specifics to the Bribe and Tribute rules in the latest release -- Indies, Rychart, De Valtos and Steel Song Bounty Hunters all have special rules.

Many welcomes, Star Trader.
We will tell the story, and talk to the Captain a lot, in the story. In rich, context aware dialog. Don't worry.

Ah, a trait. My mis-understanding. I didn't know that either. There are so many traits, hadn't even thought of certain factions having certain traits. Yes, I think that the captain should have 1 trait that is unique to their faction (hoping that these traits are super-significant!) Down the road, would be great to have talents as well that are faction specific (ex. ST4X tech tree) It is good to dream It's how we got this far lol Random thought for future: a level 11 (or 15!) talent that IS faction specific and really cool.

...While I understand the desire to immediately make the decision "strategic" I think the better priority for the moment is to ensure that loyalty to a Faction throughout a game has strategic impact. Would love to hear more suggestions! Maybe have faction-specific gear and weapons? For example, a Rychart contact might sell a Pistol with the highest armor piercing stats. Other factions might sell knock-off versions, but they wouldn't be as effective as the Rychart original.

Yep, all weapons / armor / gear / ship hulls / ship components have the potential to be Faction-locked. We'll get there.

3. It's exciting to hear about talents that will be specific to a particular faction (your ex. above with the Spatial Talent). Honestly was completely unaware of all of these differentiators. I wonder how we can better communicate these differentiators. As not every Alta Mesa gets Spatial, this could easily be taken as randomization and just lost in the shuffle. Maybe each Captain should get 3rd trait based on their Faction. And I thought it was my idea. This could potentially be addressed in the stories as well. So there's a challenge for your writing skills fallen . Thulun speech should "feel" different than Alta Mesa. That'd be great.

Steel Song Bounty Hunters live by a rigid code of honor and never accept bribes.
All Moklumnue worlds can blockaded regardless of the local economy rating as they are part of the Mok trading network.
