I may just be missing this somewhere, but I would like some sort of gauge or number displaying my overall crew morale, especially on the map screen. A number of times I've been surprised by a crew mutiny, when I thought everybody was happy and doing good. A gauge would help me keep easy tabs on such an important stat.
On the ship stats page I would like the same number and maybe a little better break down like Crew Under 50 Morale (4) and Crew Under 25 Morale (1).
I would also like the ability to sort by morale in the crew screen. It would save a lot of time when I want to find those who are most consistently unhappy and decide whether or not to show them the airlock.

Right on, thanks for the feedback.
- Morale tracking is the third box in the main tracker - Filter by Injured to see low morale

Thanks, I don't give that bar enough attention sometimes, but I'm still working up the difficulty scale. I'm sure that by the time I'm to Impossible I'll be watching it like a hawk. Playing on Android that bar wasn't very intuitive. I know there's a way to "pull it down" and see what it means because I've done it by accident, but now I can't find it again. I wonder if something like the three vertical bar icon or "..." icon wouldn't help people know that there is a clickable info box there and know where it is. But I know you're not onto mobile port yet.

My crew is pretty happy right now. Not everyone is 100% though. So when I filter for injured I get nothing. Sometimes I want to see them before they get low too because I'm trying to figure out why they are unhappy and when it is happening, not just who is -25%.
And hopefully filtering for "Injured" is just a workaround for now. I don't think it will be very intuitive for a lot of players.

Not a workaround -- that's an important part of crew management when you're away from the Doctor and Spicehall. We should consider a rename for it, but either way I am confident the average player will understand it. I do understand the filtering criteria issue. I guess the primary criteria the player should be concerned about are the two action potentials -- what can this state cause against me, and what actions can I take, as player, against this state. That's where the filter criteria came from, a sort may help I'll take a look at the styleguide and see what other ideas I can come up with for the player here.

Click/tap/hover on the alert bar from the main map see what each item means. Click/tap/hover is coming to all screens hopefully very soon.
Use the Consult button to get info on specific items.

For some reason the tap seems pretty finicky. A lot of times it doesn't work. My screen is small, but not tiny.

That's unfortunate that tap is having a hard time on your device Its 100% the same tap handler that every game we've made since Heroes of Steel uses. Are you having the same issues in all of our games? We will definitely address screen size and button size issues when we do the mobile port. Right now, all eyes on desktop.

A few of the buttons seem more unresponsive in STF. I've never noticed it in other games. Maybe it's just their size right now vs. my thumb size. The buttons on the top of the crew leveling screen seem about the worst right now.

Good feedback. Thanks, I'll do some focused testing on the Nexus.

Tapping on the bar only works in the sector map, not in any of the other screens. That may be why you're thinking it doesn't always work. I have no problem getting it to work from the sector map on my Nexus 5X on Android 8.0.0. But it did confuse me for a while until I realized when it did and didn't work.
The only problems I have are hitting the filter button on the crew screen, and the navigate button on the sector map. The former is mainly due to having a silicone phone skin that give me a lip around the edge of the screen so it's just hard to tap near the edges. So that's not really a UI issue.
The navigation button problem is that it's very easy to just miss it and hit the map instead, causing the ship to head south and clearing my waypoint. Then I have to stop, set the waypoint again, and restart. It certainly feels like stopping and starting causes more ship encounters. Not fun when in a sector with a xeno fleet. It would be nice if the sensitive area for the navigate button was a little larger than the button, or if the map area right around the button was actually a dead zone.
Or maybe I just need to put my fingers on a diet. :-)

khearn - that part is correct. The top alert bar ONLY works on the main map today. To be fixed as soon as possible. On mobile, we can increase the area around the menu that ignores clicks.

Heh, still want a one-touch navigation from 'pay crew' to pre-filtered 'levelled up crew' for ease of training, rather than the 3-5 steps to get there

Heh, still want a one-touch navigation from 'pay crew' to pre-filtered 'levelled up crew' for ease of training, rather than the 3-5 steps to get there Yeah that would probably top my list too, for ease of use suggestions. Status-Crew-Filter-Leveling-select crew member is pretty tap intensive for something we do so often.
