Since contacts may die already (I mean, since there are mechanics in the game for that), maybe you could have some die of old age, to help drive home the point that not everyone lives as long as us Space Traders.

Yes, Contacts can die of old age, already a feature.
The upcoming news broadcasts in landing zones will help get the info out there.

The contacts themselves would probably beg to differ, but ...

fallen's version of ST lore book = Hundreds of pages of confusing IF THEN ELSE logic loops and variables. ntsheep's version = One page, one line in the center, "It's fracking fun! Play it!"

I'm sticking with the "Everyone on the hive-ships wore lead underwear the whole way" version of the lore.

resistor, when fallen starts to explain the game logic, he reverts to programmer speak a lot it seems. Every thing is a If this happens, Then this is what's done or Else this will happen which cancels out the first If, Then this will happen or Else this If is also canceled Then this happens If the Else was the cause of If and then Then happens to the Else but only If,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and the paradox continues
