Templar battleforce is half off on steam right now. Though I prefer these games on mobile (so I can play during work) It looks really good and I played the hell out of pretty much all the other games and am super enjoying the demo

agentbarron - glad the demo is looking good to you! Sales do come around at different times on different markets.

agentbarron - glad the demo is looking good to you! Sales do come around at different times on different markets. I'll have to keep my eye out then! You're right. I don't actually really mind the whole taking away the turning thing, I guess it was just more in my head than anything. Also btw, are you one of the brothers? If so thanks for all the great games. I've been hooked for years and years now. Started with star traders and probably put at least a hundred hours across all the games I have a lot of time to waste at work

agentbarron - thank you! Yes, I am Andrew. The turning thing wasn't honestly hated by the players of TA, but it does slow down play a ton and makes the battle UI more challenging. As you can see with TBF, we just wanted to focus on other parts of the strategy!

My apologies for any confusion I caused. I never had a problem with the need to turn in Assualt. It's just one of the few things I saw in posts and reviews left on the play store that some people didn't like. Either way, both games are awesome. Each has it own things that makes it shine and worth playing.

To be honest I don't think that turning would work in battleforce as well like in assault. At least from the trial the maps are far too open compared to the at most triple wide corridors in assault. I feel like my templars would fall way too quickly if I needed to make sure they were facing the correct direction. Plus most of the time in assault it was just find a long corridor and stand back to back and let the xeno come to you.
And thanks Andrew for the great job on the games, from my understanding you do most of the coding right? Because it's scary good. I don't think I've ever had one of your games crash on me besides when I was betatesting the 4x version of star traders like once
Also do you guys just make games you guys like and want to play and just sell it for money to recoup your time or do you guys try and make games for everyone. I'm assuming it's the former because of the amount of updates ST is still getting. You guys are like the toady(of dwarf fortress) and Steve(of Aurora 4x)
Also you guys should check out Aurora if you like 4x games and don't mind challenging ui's it's a spreadsheet simulator but it's a really good spreadsheet similator

If you have never played Aurora before I reccomend looking up sir berdian's (not spelled right) let's play or learn series. Its what I used and was independent by the third episode.
The ui is intimidating but the game is actually not too hard to play once you get past it. It gives you a sense as to how large space is. For example the absolute max range of lasers is the distance light can travel in 5 seconds. And its tiny compared to the range of missiles.
