Great game! I'm really enjoying all the systems interacting at once the and the ability to change the outcome of faction wars etc. The story is also really engaging!
In the spirit of helping development continue, I have a small wishlist:
- access the galaxy maps without leaving a planet, so I can look at routes etc without costing fuel and time before deciding to accept a mission (and from what I've read, the chance to fail my landing). - ability to check my crew damage during ship-to-ship combat. I have a healing talent, but no idea when I should use it. - the ability to fly on from neutral encounters without reputation loss, particularly where the other party is intending to leave. I understand the loss it if I'm being attacked or investigated, but if the other pilot wants to gtfo, why am I being penalised? I can always let them go for no penalty by entering combat and then retreating, so the only difference is it takes longer. - a flavour description on the different types of ship I can buy. This is absolutely wishlist, but it would be cool to read them and see what their intended purpose is.
Regardless of my feedback, this game is really fun and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon.

Ah, the crew damage is something I meant to ask for as well. That's definitely a good idea!

Also, the first suggestion you had has already been done. If you enter any map from your planet, you can "land" for free so long as you didn't start moving away from the system. Thus it doesn't roll for anything and doesn't cost fuel/time. This wasn't always the case but has been this way for a good number of patches now.

I'm going to repost the crew damage idea in a different forum, (suggestions) and by itself.

Ah, also I think you're mistaken about entering combat and then retreating. You do lose a significant amount of rep for that. It didn't used to be displayed but now it is. It is typically (always?) better to let them retreat rather than entering combat and then retreating, rep-wise.

Finally, there are flavor texts for starting ships, displayed at the ship selection screen when creating your own template but these aren't in the main game itself. I too would like to see this and have suggested it in the past. I think it is on a long wishlist already.

That depends on a lot of factors. It isn't "enter combat, lose rep" by any stretch. All depends on how you play it.

Oh, interesting. Maybe it is because I launch torps just in case...

If I am landed, and then I use the back button to see the planet view, the UI displays two buttons named "land" which do different things. The big land button in the center of the screen will cost me fuel, time, etc to land again. But, the small land button at the lower right returns me to the starport screen without costing me any fuel, time. Can we have just one button instead of two, and if there will be no cost, can that be displayed more clearly? The "back" button implies it is just changing screens which is clear enough, but you can't use "back" to get to the starport screen.

OK, then the big "Land" button at the top sometimes takes fuel and time, and sometimes not. And there is no reason for a second "land" button below.

I have never experienced paying twice for a landing. You *do* experience it if you were landed on one planet in a system and then land on the other, of course.

I guess I mistakenly assumed that the big land button always cost money and if the little land button was available, that would be free, like "back". Having two similar buttons, one of which is not always present, seems a little confusing.

Sorry that you find it confusing. Use one or the other button, no cost. Thanks!

Maybe I am beating a dead horse, but I am still stuck on the two land buttons. If I land at a system and then use back to show the orbital view, the lower right land button has hover help which says "return to the zone where your ship is currently landed at no cost in fuel or time". That is great. But, the other large blue landing button has hover help that says "order the crew to attempt an atmospheric landing and re-entry". Furthermore, in the case that there is a blockade on the planet, this button doesn't even say "land", it says "run blockade" (still with the same hover help).
I agree that the large blue land button doesn't cost money or time in this case, but can you update the hover help to match and also prevent "run blockade" from showing up?
