Javat-exclusive Cargo Hold that gives 60 cargo, but only 40 fuel capacity.
I like this. An extremely high capacity strikes as fitting for Javat, and esp. I like the reversal of the usual relationship between cargo capacity and fuel. Seems like it’d create some interesting options when upgrading. Perhaps even an additional “Javat-style” hold with lower ratings? I like the idea of really puzzling over what combo of main holds and supplementary holds and fuel tanks would be best for a given ship or Captain.

Components that force certain types of talents to choose from the most effective crew member would be cool. For example, an Engineering Deck component would cause the crew member with the highest Repair skill to be selected for repair talents like Unrivaled Patches.

Crash Nexus I/II/III Small component Low-ish cost and mass. Pilot +3/+4/+6 Escape +0/+5/+5
Adds “Crash Charge” talent during ship combat.
“Crash Charge” talent: usable at ranges 1-5, but not for an Escape attempt. Guaranteed range change toward or away, plus 15%/25%/33% chance to change an additional range level. (Does not allow change from 4 to 6.) Crash Nexus take 66% damage.
Based on thoughts in “Pilot builds viable”? discussion. The intent is to give a hand to Pilot builds, esp. early game: Help get in or help get out. No guaranted Escape, but II and III will give an Escape bonus if the component isn’t already burnt out.

How about a component that INCREASES ship encounter rate, but does so with 2/3 of the additional chance as smugglers? That is, it makes you more likely to be found but moderately increases the odds of finding a smuggler trying to fly "below the radar".
Javat-exclusive Cargo Hold that gives 60 cargo, but only 40 fuel capacity. Compared to other cargo holds, it is giving 10 more cargo than Cargo Bay 5, but has the fuel capacity of a Cargo Hold 1.
Javat mining, refinery, and industrial worlds have so much supply it would make sense for them to develop super high capacity holds to move huge bulk shipments of goods. Also, Jav is the only one of the three 'economy factions' that doesn't have an exclusive cargo hold yet.
