I am very interested in the mobile version of the game, and one question I do have though for those of you who have played the pre release version is - what size of screen is required to be able to see and play the game effectively?
I have a Samsung A3, and I was wondering if it would be playable on a screen of that size, or whether I should look to get a cheap laptop/notebook/pad to run it on?
Thanks in advance for your input!

My Google shows the Samsung A3 as
Size 4.5 inches, 55.8 cm2 (~65.5% screen-to-body ratio) Resolution 540 x 960 pixels, 16:9 ratio (~245 ppi density)
That game is going to really struggle to support that resolution. I *think* it will install.
Android 6 and 1GB of RAM will work but aren't ideal. I'd guess the experience will be sub-par.

Thanks Cory - to be honest I thought that was likely to be the case. I needed an excuse to buy some new kit anyway, so now I have one

How will it look on a Motorolla Droid turbo 2? My friend gave me one for Christmas after my last one had trip through the washing machine

As far as being able to read the text and see and tap the right controls the mobile version is doing great. I have a big samsung s9+, but on my older s5 it's also fine. 46yo eyes and reading glasses compatible!

The font on regular sized phones is tiny (I tested on a two different phones, a Motorola Moto G and a Nokia 8). It would be close to unreadable for anyone who was not 20/20, and even then there would be eye strain and a less enjoyable experience. This is not just an opinion. I was a web developer for years and this font size is well below the accessibility standards. There is also too much on the screen at once, which I don't believe is b design. The mobile version appears to be just be the desktop version scaled down. The interface, font size and clarity of Star Traders RPG is much much better for mobiles. Summary is, I would not consider Frontiers a mobile game. It's probably fine on the extra large phones and tablets. Before refunding, I am going to test it on an old tablet I have, which is probably similar screen size to the s9+.

mikejd - thanks for the feedback and sorry that your experience has been so poor with the game. I would suggest getting a refund. I can process that for you at andrew@tresebrothers.com Thankfully, most other players are having good luck with their devices.
