This is something I have posted in one of my discords to show off the game.
I'm sorry for the really big pictures not sure how to make them smaller on this forum.
I would like to show you guys the PC version of the game for the character creation.
When you click on "New Template" you can choose your own stuff.
Yellow shows the priorities - (what you want to focus on)
A first priority
B second priority
C third priority
D fourth priority
E fifth priority
Purple shows the different categories. These categories you can shift around what your priority is, see yellow.
Experience - Ship - Contacts - Attributes - Skills
^ = making it go higher. lock = your category and priority.
Once you click on Experience you will see the following.
What class do you want to play.
What is your captain's build. what the captain focuses on once you level up within his class. in this case Rifles, Evasion and Intimate.
Captain's Traits. Traits given depending on the class you have chosen from.
Starting Levels. Depending on your priority how high the levels are of yourself, the officers and the crew it's self.
Once you click on Ship you will see the following.
The priority here will be your starting cash.
Every ship has their own up and down sides depending on which class you would like to play. You can always swap ships later on once you build a fortune.
Now to explain everything that you see here... (A standard military ship)
Addons for the ship = Small / Medium / Large Slots
Mass = Carry weight of the ship (Cargo not included)
Fuel = Maximum carried fuel to your ship
Max Officers = How many officers it can carry
Max Crew = How many crew it can carry
Hull = HP of your ship
Base Armour = Resistances vs certain damage
Base Shield = Resistances vs certain damage
Once you click on Contacts you will see the following.
You will see the a certain amount of characters that will be randomized around your map.
Also a map you can seed random or play on the standard map.
This time I selected the "Fixer" he will be able to help us with
Missions, military promotions within our faction, help us within the black market, recruit staff in this case Scavengers, and when you spy around planets your able to sell the information or intelligence you came accross with to this contact.
Working for a contact is one way to play the game and does have its benefits but its not mandatory.
Once you click on Attributes you will see the following.
The basic 8 you see here can also be increased by the priority you gave it at the start. Have seen it go to 8 - 10 - 12, and even more points to be assigned as well.
The description is pretty straight forward on this one. Every aspect can be important for your class or for the situation your in.
Once you click on Skill you will see the following.
Crew Combat Skills
Are the skills you mostly use in Melee combat, You have Ship Combat and Melee Combat, boarding and patrolling are examples were you usually get into Melee Combat. While flying out in the open you will get Ship Combat.
Stealth is also useful in missions black market and certain talents.
Personnel Skills
Are the skills you need in order to lead the ship properly, your crew and officers can increase this value as well, depending on their classes. The description is self explanatory.
Once you have everything Ready to Play, you can save your template and start creating your own character. Huh did we just start making your own character? Yes we did.
Now if you click on Launch you start the character creation.
Which shows you the following screen.
Change Map. Where you can adjust the map layout
Change Faction. Which Faction would you like to start your loyalty with.
Change Difficulty. Change the game difficulty.
Manually Assign Talents, is something I would recommend so you can think of what you like to have for your crew and yourself. its very important because you want to have some fail saves ready / normal skills / situational skills.
Skip intro is something i wouldn't recommend if your new. the gameplay is awesome. however, without having this the game might be a hard time for you, makes sure you have available time once you get here.
On the right you can see the different faces, uniform, gender and below you can change your name.
Once you click on Change Map
It shows the default map, Map 2 the map i created myself and the option to create a new map.
Once you click on New map you see
How many Galaxies there are. and how far out they may be. Map placement will be randomly decided by the game itself. Everything else is explained.
Once your done, you can select your Faction, Every faction has their own Zone bonus and special rule. Choose one that might fit you.
Once selected you can click on Difficulty
You can choose your difficulty yourself or choose one of the defaults.
Death Rules...
Death Mode can be Captain, Officer or Crew which lead into perm deaths.
Deaths can be saved by a certain percentage of how much HP they get.
Challenges...
Self explainatory. Increases enemy ship, crew strength. increases how high the enemy levels are and how difficult your global galaxy is to travel in (failure events or encounters)
Rewards...
Self Explaintory. Increases your payout and experience with your activities.
Below here is the difficulty I have played so far, and enjoyed from the start, although it might be a little hard. but eventually you will get the hang of it.
Once you have selected everything you can click on the launch button and you will be sent into the game. Hope you enjoyed the creation of your character !!!
