I 'm wondering if contracts generally run higher on the higher levels because of the difficulty completing them.
Currently on Basic I'm taking $500k to $ 900k contracts. Many for simple blockades or surveillance. Those prices are offered by my two main factions Devaltos and Rycher where my rep is around 40k with each. The Independents will offer some just as high but will also offer $200.00 contracts.
I know the pricing has much to do with political aspects such as Solar Wars. I'm also playing for Cadar now but my rep is only in the mid 4k. They aren't offering contracts over $300k even when in a Solar War when Devaltos or Rycher is also in the same Solar War. I know rep points play into it as well.
I'm wondering if I'd have to get the same high reps in say Difficult to be offered the high six figure contracts.

Currently on Impossible I get something between $100k to $200k. Sometimes it is easy, sometimes I get into serious trouble. I usually take multiple contracts, so I can make about $1M in two Rim runs. I do not usually care about having more than $3M in reserves, there is nothing worth that much money.
But I have only 6.5k reputation with my home Faction. And Impossible difficulty is known for its "ridiculous Contracts for low pay" description text.

Probably why a Robot Apocalypse is not likely.
Human obsession wins hands down. ;D

Okay I'm LOL at all of you! It didn't hurt being playoff season. I would just use the thumb while watching the games.
I want to say I'd start a new Captain if I could lend him a ship and moola to start but it may get taken seriously;)
Everytime I attempt to start a new game on a higher level, I see that puny ship and the 3 pts for exp and just get bored knowing I have a captain already waiting for me.
I've only had time to play a couple times since the upgrade. I also have to admit the contracts nearing one million are nice:) I have to take time to search for Cory's simulation threads.

Yeah, and one fine day, the world would get sucked into a black hole generated by the algorithmic abyss created by you after an infinite calculations failed to compute simultaneously due to your captain's horrifyingly gargantuan inhuman statistics.

Onto that, its more precisely about the code trying to count 99999999999999999 but it cant so it becomes 0. And when 0 gets to a divide calculation, you know whats going to happen..

Hey, every epic Captain starts off as a greenhorn! The more powerful your enemies, the more satisfying they are to dominate! May all your opponents be worthy
