So regarding the Weaver and Vurnak Is there a reason they both chose the spider form? Caal is the Weaver's brother right, so presumably the Weaver once had a humanoid form.
Was Vurnak trying to become the new Weaver, or did they choose spider form for purely coincidental and non related reasons?

Cool question! The more you learn about the generation of Gods that can before Caal, the more you'll hear that they in fact are not human in form. I never imagined the Weaver taking human form, that is below these elder, more powerful Gods. Some of them are just dragons To the other question, yes Vurnak looked to the Weaver's perfect weave for inspiration. The Weaver takes the approach of total control, and Vurnak hates the idea that something Caal made turned against him. The "perfect form" is not that far from the Weaver's concept that everyone has a place in the great loom.

Then one can only presume the Weaver's web is flame proof.

Then one can only presume the Weaver's web is flame proof. Ask Kjartan, I think he'd disagree
