Perhaps they're referring to the summon from FF X called Anima. That one could be a pain in the ass if you weren't prepared.

I took “anima” to mean something like “soul” or “spirit,” but the odd word choice indicating something about the background lore. I speculated that there’s a belief that each Faction has its own anima, and it was an interesting implicit claim - a legitimizing claim - for someone to use such a word with respect to the Hunna.

That was the intention but evidently it was confusing so we changed it to a simpler word

It's only confusing if you don't have a lot of hunna backstory first that explains such things.

Just do some grinding to raise your levels, it works for me, in both games grävling, nothing the TB's do is confusing, we just don't understand their awesomeness.
