My Xeno Artifact transporting Juror just ran into a Cadar Pirate flying a Vengence-class cruiser.
The crew was already boxing up the artifacts for the ship-to-ship transfer, but the Pirate decided to depart and, whistling nonchalantly, we retreated.
I don’t recall a Pirate ever just leaving me alone. Part of the new, more varied, Pirate behavior? I’m curious about what factors contribute.
The encounter was in a Cadar quad, I believe. My rep with Big Blue was +11, and the initial Hostility was 0, which then went to 1.

I don't think that its new, no. The changes are only about when a pirate loots you and the potential 4 results.
Pirates with positive hostility aren't particularly aggressive. +1 Hostility, a pirate would always let you float away.

I need to find him, board for tea, then slaughter the crew. I could use a Vengeance.
