After completing the first mission step of Erik, Valencia, and Zette at same time, you get to choose their second step.
Not sure if it's a bug, but "The Court is Watching" is only showing for Zette's and Valencia's mission if you are going to accept it what makes the other two disappear. Erik's 2nd mission-step can still be accepted first without the notification and the disappearance of the other two.
I'd rather help Valencia instead of Erik, so I better don't continue his before something is screwed up later. Valencia's arc is going to unlock "Hunter's Bane" and "Heir Apparent" if I'm not mistaken. Not sure what Erik's unlocks.

jarvis - Erik would unlock "Heir Slayer". Erik does not close out on the second mission. His breakpoint is a little farther down the rabbit hole

Okay, thanks for the info. I'm only playing on demanding diff. It's still strange with the mission acceptation order and would make it more clear and logical according to this notification if all three court members deny each other at same time. It's complicated enough to follow each arc in different direction and makes it easier for starters if you have to choose between one of three early. This way, you also won't loose that much reputation and feel too constrained into doing only these story missions at beginning.

Sorry that you're finding it confusing. Each Faen family member denies in their mission at a "point of no return" and we won't be changing that by removing the logic and just forcing arbitrary consistency.

I understand that following several arcs at same time make no sense at a certain point, but here at the start of mission step 2, it is a silly matter of clicking order: "Oops, I accepted the missions in the wrong order that I can’t do two at same time anymore. *Reload* Oh, I can accept Erik's mission first and still pick another one of the ladies. Good to know!"
This behaves like an exploit. I only mentioned the logic in a way how I imaged that everyone spies after the other one in the palace, like written in the notification of the lady missions. Even if I pick Erik’s mission first, he should know that I have accepted one of the ladies and possibly silently removes his right afterwards or do these ladies don't care about Erik that much? My smuggler gets quickly bored by politics, so maybe I missed a pointer earlier.
It's okay, I'm new to this complex, intrigue-infested political drama and tried to understand the reason behind this clicking-dilemma. I haven’t bothered to test it now if you can actually finish two step-2 missions and get both rewards later, or if one of two court members denies any talking/rewarding in the end. I'm only going to finish Val's arc now, and I'm already scared enough by these bounty hunters that can easily trash my heavily upgraded Paladin Cruiser, as long as I don't escape. That's enough drama for me!

Sorry to hear that. We will definitely keep working to improve the existing storyline while also adding new storylines, expanding the rules and releasing additional free content patches.
lots to do, so many places to improve!

Yep, the point of no return hinges upon when you take actions that closely align you with that Faen family member. Each one is different!
