Awesome! I figured as much, but it's cool to hear that there will be different "personalities" so to speak. Another question then, will we be able to favor one class, meaning use one of the characters more than others in story choices? For instance, if there is a mission where we can only use two characters will we be able to choose which two? Or will those events be scripted? Also, your art work is amazingly good in HoS. I'm not knocking the other games, each game has it's own character and charm, but the backgrounds and sprites in HoS look so much sharper and more detailed. It really is amazing, and seeing the art (and the code Cory Trese, don't feel left out!) shape up is absolutely electrifying.

johndramey - while the video shows only 2 characters on the away mission, you won't ever be in a position where two of them are simply "not there." You might be in a position of needing to trigger two locks at the same time and your group is forced to separate and you have to pick who goes with who, etc. From a story event stand point, it will work more like a FF game, where you want all the characters at that big event to interact, argue, present their opinions and story branch options.

"With Heroes of Steel running successfully on a variety of Android devices, iPads, iPhones, Windows desktop, and Mac desktops, "
Windows desktops will really be great, and make it easy to swap back and forth for taking alpha notes. Will the game text font display on desktops be bigger than on android devices?

john - we are using bitmap fonts, so we have a good deal of control. The videos that have been posted so far are very deception about the text size (video is shown at much smaller than the game is on the screen).

Is it too late to ask where and how I can get alpha access? Like what I have to do and where I have to go?

@starfixer - I think you can still donate through paypal to boost your pledge to the proper level, I know they let me combine my two pledges to get my NPC. Just so you know, the alpha hasn't actually started yet.

Is it too late to ask where and how I can get alpha access? Like what I have to do and where I have to go? All the rewards from KickStarter are still available here! For Heroes of Steel, joining the small alpha access team of 53 people requires $100 backing. The Alpha will be much longer and more involved than the one we ran for Pirates. www.tresebrothers.com/blog/heroes-of-steel-kickstarter-paypal/

@starfixer - Basically we just wait. fallen sent out emails, so make sure you got the email welcoming you to the Alpha, but other then that patience is the key. I believe that we are roughly expecting alpha in about a month, but that can change.

I'm sorry to ask this as I'm sure it's either A) been gone over before or B) too early to tell, but for HoS are you guys considering a different style then your current free/elite versions? If not, how will you guys delineate between free and elite? It's my understanding that HoS will be much more story based, so are you just going to lock the free version to a certain chapter of the story-line?
Totally just curious, it just popped into my head this morning during work.
