So given we have multiple forum sections/categories/boards, and people are encouraged to post topics related to that board, my question is ... how do you actually keep on top of all of the new posts that come in?
Do you have your favorite forum sections bookmarked, and you just go into those sections?
Do you go through each forum section in order, looking to see if anything is relevant?
Do you rely on the "New Topics" option in the top forum menu-bar?
OR well what do you do?
Why am I asking this? It'd be good to know if you are just viewing the "New Topics", or if you are going into specific sections. I tend to do the former, and when I create new threads, I try to add a prefix (TA/ST/CK) so that when you glance the new topics, you can see which game is being talked about. However, if you go into specific forum sections, the prefix is irrelevant because the section itself is the indicator of what the subject-matter is.

I use New Topics and check the individual boards on Sunday in case I missed anything. Everything I can I copy the thread URL into our todo list so I can come back and post "fixed"

Ah cool - so your bug-tracking and enhancement request databases have the source URL. nice!

Ah cool - so your bug-tracking and enhancement request databases have the source URL. nice! Critical part of finding the thread and responding ... eventually. We try to get a tracking ID, post that to the thread and store the thread's URL with the tracking ID. If I forget to store the URL, I use search to find the thread with the number.

I only rarely look at the CK and TA sections since I haven't played them yet. I check all 7 ST sections, look for threads with new posts, and read every new post, and if I have something to say, I do so. Same way I do it on my own forum, where I have the second-highest post count. I help or get silly or lay down the law everywhere. _______________________________ "Issue the standard Cadar greeting, Ensign." "But sir, that's one of our allies!" "I know that, Ensign. BlastGT1 - when you finally get around to TA, you're gonna LOVE it ... it's the only game I am playing right now - and probably the main game I've played in the last 4 months or so. One day in the near future, I'm going to have to go back to CK, but then HoS is coming toooo ... arrrrgh no ... time ...

I go to the forum that I'm interested in and then check the section to see what I want to read. I use the ST forums the most 1) it's my fav game 2) KS posts are there too

Ah - so maybe we should create a new forum section on HoS, and that way those who don't care so much for HoS won't see so much "noise" about it?

Every single new post in ST, I HAVE to read. Any new idea I see is like gravy on the mashed 'taters of my game time. Concepts, playstyles, challenges and lore make this game exactly why I love it so much.

I tend to stick to the CK boards as that's my main game. I've only just noticed the General Board tucked under the ST banner.

Hmm, perhaps the General board should be split off and made into a primary section of its own?

@blastgt I'd thought it might be a good idea too. A little less confusing too.
