I notied there have been a lot of new updates.
Im trying to fully understand my Ship Officers.
Could someone explain them to me?
In the Game Help menu some are explained, The first mate. political, Military, Ships mechanic and Scout.
But now I got a SPY Officer, what does she do?
Also I noticed when i explore planets I get a Toast saying "Crew saved by smuggler officer" I do not have a smuggler office? I am a Pirate and my ship officers are First mate,Spy officer and political officer.
I would be nice if someone could tell me which officers exsist and what they do.

Perhaps a smuggler officer smuggled himself onboard? Did you look under the floorboards?

the Spy Officer - advises when no Good Rumors left (only Flavor Texts)
- makes "Buy Rumor" is always free
- more likely to find during a Major Accident Rumor (Star Dock closed)

i have a spy but it acts just like a scout as far as i can tell plus i cant hire both a scout and a spy furthering my theory that right now the only difference is the art. my question is are they supposed to be different and if so what are the spys bonus item eg records, weapons etc. Same for the new alien hunter vet what are his bonuses and items ty ty in advance i love the game and play it often. Elite ftw!!!

I will get a list and double check the draft manual.
Spy and Scout are very much different officers tho.
Alien Hunter is really all about Aliens, Artifacts and Alien Kill Bonus.
I love the 250,000 (or higher, on Impossible)

He can be recruited on planets that have the Alien rumor.
Just be careful landing ... the Terror is not far away.

He knows how to contact a secret faction ... shrouded in mystery ... the ones in shadow ... they will pay ... no questions asked ... for any information about the alien ... they defend the darkest secret of ST RPG ... at the quadrant's core ... a story too terrible to tell ...

Wouldnt it be splendid if ur spy / intelligence office had the ability to provide u with rumors in addition to those in the palace / spice hall?
