I found that when I died on a Normal difficulty level and chose to start from a save point (or something like that), I got taken into a cool different "test" area. Is that something we were meant to go into and test, or is it a glitch. If it is a testable area, how do I go and test it without having to die to do so?

slayernz - I think that's a glitch of some kind, because I got taken there as well and it crashed HoS.

That is the restore point glitch that has been posted about a couple times before (typically known as 'stuck in combat', since if you go back to the alpha dungeon your generally stick in combat until you kill what had killed you before using restore point). It is known about and possibly already is fixed for the next version.

Definitely fixed for the next version. Those test maps were also made with a overly large tilemap that are liable to crash many devices.

Also, there was a test talent or two that causes problems (eg Torrent of Steel). Once it works, it will be great for the thief

When I try Torrent of Steel, it drops me back in the main menu.

Stealth, how does it work? I've been trying to use my thief as a scout during my Nightmare run but haven't noticed any sneaky abilities. I was thinking I could use her to get a look at enemies without actually alerting them, am I mistaken? I guess it could be that our characters are all level 1, but I'd like a little more ambush ability

I guess it could be that our characters are all level 1, but I'd like a little more ambush ability It does seem to work just with a currently lowish chance (40% was said before), on my current hard team I'm testing damage amounts with I opened the right side of the area with two sets of double locked doors and wandered a bit inside scouting with my thief with my team further back, and saw 2-3 spiders in the room (two of them three spaces away) and then ran my thief back and they never aggro'ed.

Another stupid question approaches!
This is a future question, nothing that would affect the Alpha. During the kickstarter there were different backer-reward items, specifically the Mighty, Venerated, and Epic boon items. What are your guys plans when it comes to those things? Will they be weapons, armor, rings of some kind? Totally just curious so if nothing is hammered out yet I understand.

I noticed a detail about stone skin today (it seems that I hadn't payed attention to it until today ). The description says that you gain some HP while buffed. Here is my question : does this HP gave away first when you get hit or does they are counted as your normal total ? And more, do you loose them when the effect stop ? I mean you start at 100, then buff and got 150 (I can't remember the exact figure now...), you're hit for 23 damages. When the effect stops, do you end at 77 HP or since the amount of damage didn't get over the buff, do you end at 100 ?

johndramey - the mighty starter items will be a advanced starter kit of gear right at the beginning of the game. All items can have magical properties (Armor, Weapons, Gear) and these items will be magical. The Venerated will be given at the end of episode 1, and the epic boon at the end of episode 2 ... less details on what they will be at this time. At this point, we are focusing on 4 Gifts, so you have something to share among your characters each time.

You Stone Skin to 100 / 150. You heal to 150/150. You take damage to 123/150. Stone Skin wears off, you have 100/100 again. You take damage to 73 of / 100. You Stone Skint to 73 / 150. Hope that helps! Without making Stone Skin also a healing spell, I think it is the best possible setup for the player.

Ok. So if you want to benefit the HP side of it, you need to either get the cleric use Myshana's tears or use potion. Am I right ? To me it's well thought ! Potentially makes the outlander a tank but need a bit of teamwork. Great !
