I'm definitely not an aggressive player, so fit in the "cautious and steady as you go" demographic ... It took me 20 minutes to get to Thurgrim, and that was blazing through all of the text dialogue. Understand that I play on Nightmare. I am very conservative in my playing. Mostly, its necessity. After 1 fight, most of my SP reserves are drained from healing, buffs and debuffs. I don't want to use potions unless I really have to, so I go back to camp even if it takes me 2 minutes to do so. rabid

I think I did the prologue (up to Oskahold right) in 4-6 hours. That was on Hard and was my first play-through. I didn't explore everything on Red Hill because I didn't know that getting on the bridge would trigger an irrevocable jump to the next chapter. I was playing with moderate caution and let me characters get pretty low on HP/SP sometimes.
I don't know if anyone could get through it in 2-3 hours the first time with reading all of the dialogue.
