We'll keep on making the monster display more valuable, simpler, and better. Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger?

The display is from the display copy of the monster -- it only refreshes at the end of the turn. So the curses you cast on the monsters do not DISPLAY until next turn. How feasible is making the display copy update mid-turn? Next release.

Ok, so another bout with some Giant Rats and I realize I made an error. They do have 7 AP. Before I thought fallen had said that -AP from debuffs is not shown in the enemies info screen. Apparently it is now. So they do have 7 AP, but he still should not have been able to make 7 moves (4 Move + 3 Attack) after being debuffed -1 AP. Was it one of the Rats (or Rat+Shaman) that does AP buffs? I would say probably best to keep testing in the next version. The really great thing about this part of the engine is that it's all the same AP/MP counting code. So I know (both from testing, log output, auto-self test and personal play) that the AP/MP counting is correct. And so do you -- because your characters work perfectly and across the world people have already spent over 1 million AP =)

Thanks guys. Just did a fight with some orange spiders in the W Gate area. NM difficulty. Initial listing as AP6. On debuff with Ethereal, displays as AP5. Spiders closing to contact still move 6 squares. Spiders allowed into melee range attack twice, thus they have 2 Attack points. Spiders hit with Ethereal still attack twice, so -1AP does not affect Attack points in the NPC turn immediately after debuff. In next NPC turn, spiders only attack once, so there is a one turn delay in -AP debuff taking effect. Yes, Vraes is still complaining about being chewed on. Sorry, neglected to verify if duration counts from turn of casting or turn of affect. Cannot tell about major/minor attacks. Cory & fallen, this is not a slam, all you have to say is working as intended and it is golden. It does appear to be in variance with your explanation. Even if it isn't working as intended, it can be lived with. Heh, the Diablo 2 bow bug was documented by Blizzard for over 6 months and took several tries to patch correctly. People still ran their bowazons.

Is that from v1.2.7 or v1.2.9 -- we're going to get this right =)

1.2.9 Test Thurgrim(sp?) fight Kyera Anguished him and others Archer fired one shot, Thurgrim moved 5(used to be 6) and did not attack.
Display DID change after Kyera's EA on the mob.

Cory Trese OK result. Dang it's hard to do 90+ points to someone with 15 armor when you have no - armor curses(Vraes, Kyera, Vincent, and Selen)

Selen has one.
This is one reason swapping just Vincent into the party hurts. Karj not only beats down armor, he ups damage. OTOH, if the 1.2.9 patch fixes the AP debuff issues, then Kyera + Vincent become a potent combination for shutting down attackers while the others gnaw away at lower effective DPS.

The "AP debuff issues" were verrrrry minor display and UI calculation glitches.
The auto-test and stats miner show that Kyera + Vincent was a potent combo as far back as pre-release Vince.

Aye, she does, but not when you just break out of the cells. Thurgrim is the first heavy you fight and in NM he has 90 HPs and 15 armor.
