@themullusk - great idea! Nano-collars are a great add to our list. The next release will see Hunds already acting more like Runners and only dying permanently on higher difficulties.

how about stronger-breed hunds available only to the hunder and only when at a certain level?
what about the hunder having lower base-level fighting but an extra-strong grapple?

The Hunder has two additional varieties of Hunds based on the Rig implant she / he has installed. The extra strong grapple sounds like a pretty sweet offensive talent. Currently, the Hunder is rocking a Command defensive talent that can only be used against Hunds and basically stops their attack in its tracks for 1 AP. But - he needs an offensive one too.

I'd like it if there was a skill check to see how many hunds you can have on your team. Hunds are not pets; they're vicious animals created and trained purely with combat in mind. You'd need a certain amount of intimidation and maybe persuasion or brawling to be able to keep them tame (or at least under control).
Perhaps if you have too many hunds on your team, but don't have the stats for it, you could lose control of your hunds in the middle of a fight; your hunds would then become part of the enemy, and they'd operate on the same AI as normal enemy hunds.
Another suggestion would be to get a negative bonus on surveillance missions. I'm not sure how much dog DNA is in a hund, but I somehow don't think it's likely that a dog large enough to rip a human's throat out can operate as stealthily as an Immortal-class Agent Ex.

zeroed - good point on both the Stealth and the ability to keep more than one Hund on the team. I will look at putting an Intimidation limitor on being able to handle more than one Hund.

From a 'let's make money' perspective, giving people a taste of the hunds may make good business sense. People love dogs.
I think the 'let me spend XX to upgrade my dog' yanks harder than the 'let me spend XX to have a dog'. With every dead puppy friend, there is this nagging belief that you could have saved your pup if only, only, you had bought elite and were able to buy those better teeth ....

Whoo yeah. Agree with gravling completely. Im thinking, still the ladder award idea. You know some connecter from gangland wants a target down or a super secret package moved to the mars core. If completed you will recieve a hund with basic gear and ready to train. Just be careful, if your hund gets shot down on permadeath levels, its gone for good and you cant get another one. But it helped so much in combat, imagine what you could do with three of them outfitted with the best gear. Same idea with corp/drone when those come out. Maybe a bit too much there though. Still cool.

I am somewhat surprised that there is no illegal dog fighting group in the streets. After all there are worse things going on in those areas. It seems like it would give hunders another way to get money/experience for the dogs.

How about a hund skill to use outside of combat fallen?something like a search command to find stims and crammers or yen in your immediate area.

Something to make the iap characters unique.all the characters now have combat talents so give grim something that the others do not have access to.search and destroy command or search and find command for the hund.seems interesting and would make it harder to resist pushing the buy button.
