So I have been using my Asus HD7 tablet for close to a year now and absolutely love it so the new version that is coming out in 1-2 weeks is a definite buy for me. My question is is there any compatibility problems or bugs related to using a fairly new CPU or is everything gonna run like before...
But 1000 times better than that Mediatek piece of shit!!!

Errr. I thought TB said their games don't work on the Intel Chipset? :S Maybe things have changed since HoS was launched, being mult-platform and all, including PC.

So do I. I just know that when I asked TB about getting my tablet, they said to keep in mind Cyber Knights would not run on Intel based phones. I'll look it up. It was my question. Hang on.

Cyber Knights wouldn't bother me too much. If there's one game that needs an update asap it's Cyber Knights... My concern was not just with TB games but with apps in general.

Can't find the post at the moment, cos it's on my OLD account. I think the problem was on phones that don't run Android, (not including ios of course). Anyway. I'm going to say no more on the subject VincentD, cos I'm not sure and I don't want to feed you bull, and get you worried unnecessarily. Cory Trese would know. He's GOOD with phones.

Well it's a tablet with Android 4.4.3 out of the box.

Heroes of Steel RPG and Star Traders 4X do not support the x86 chipset (Intel Atom) at this time.
We've been trying to work with Intel, but currently they are not interested in game developers.
Cyber Knights gets regular updates -- usually once a week. That's pretty "ASAP" compared to other games in the Cyberpunk category for Android, which seem to be updates once or twice a year.
Star Traders RPG, Cyber Knights RPG, Templar Assault RPG will all work fine on an x86-based Android device, tablet or phone.
If we can afford test hardware, or get help from Intel with their test labs, we will be able to bring the C++ games (ST 4X, HoS) to x86, but until then it isn't possible.

What I meant by update was new engine but since you just said that your 2 new games don't run on Atom then it doesn't matter anymore...
So... So sad right now...
Worst thing is I have a deal at Staples meaning the new MeMo 7 is free if I trade in my old HD7. Dammit...

But isn't Android L supposed to change everything coding-wise? No dalvik. Are you saying none of your games will work on it?

Cory Trese. What exactly do you mean by "test hardware". Aka how much would test hardware cost, (roughly)? What's this about Intel, not being interested? :/

But isn't Android L supposed to change everything coding-wise? No dalvik. Are you saying none of your games will work on it? LOL, no, that's totally 100% false. First, ART is designed to be fully compatible with Dalvik’s existing byte-code format, “dex” (Dalvik executable). As such, from a developer’s perspective, there are no changes at all in terms of having to write applications for one or the other runtime and no need to worry about incompatibilities. Second, for Native Libraries (such as most high performance games) the code still needs to be compiled to machine code (which is ARM, ARM-7, ARM-6, x86, MIPS, etc) and nothing in ART (Android-L) changes that.
