I dunno if this is a bug or a wish ... putting into bugs but happy for it to be moved I'm a tiny little bit frustrated with gear changes on a character when you've already got 3 items equipped. eg, you might have a ring, a cloak, and a pair of boots on Vraes. Now you just so happen to pick up a really cool Amulet that matches Vraes' eyes and want to equip it. The problem is that right now, it seems that the game randomly removes one of the currently equipped items so you can wear your amulet. The only way you can be absolutely sure which item is going to be replaced is if you manually remove the item (which takes you back to the main gear screen), THEN go back into the empty slot to equip the amulet. What would be cool is if there was some way you could select the currently equipped piece of gear you want swapped out. So if you select a new item, you should be asked "What do you want to swap with?" or something like that.

I second that.

I think it already for this... If you two an accessory then that is the item that's replaced... I think?

I agree with this request which should probably be under wish list.
I'm a bit disapointed with Slayernz's lack of vision, 'cause I though he was going to suggest an in-game AI that helped you select the best coordinate outfit for each hero; if you change one part of an outfit, you often need to change others as well to achieve the best look. Oh well, I guess looking good just isn't a priority these days.

slayernz - when you say "randomly" I think you mean "whichever gear you tapped on to access the gear page". So, if you have boots, ring and cloak equipped and you tap on the ring ... whatever piece of gear you choose, you'll replace the ring.

That's what I meant to say...Thanks, Fallen. Love the autocorrect feature on my phone... Not.

fallen, all this time playing and I never realized that. Somehow highlighting the tapped item on the 'Equip Gear' screen would make this functionality more obvious to the less observant of us.

The current system works well unless you forget which gear you tapped. Call me old school, but I like the idea of having a head, necklace, armor, foot, ring/gauntlet spot.

I tap randomly, often with my eyes half-closed. Also, even when I do decisively tap, I forget what I'm trying to replace within a few microseconds anyway ... it's all about just how many shiny objects I am carrying around in my inventory at the time. I still get tons and tons of duplicates though - so maybe I could open up a clothing line back at Oskahold

vdx - the gear's overall balance and the game saved format is not setup to allow for a change like that. slayernz - really looking forward to adding sorting, stacking, and filtering to this one. Drives me crazy too.

I second tenbsmith 's highlight idea, subtle but brilliant UI change

1. Put the item that was tapped at the top of the list. 2. Put two other items worn in the same category below it, and let us click on them to switch. 3. Hide items from available gear, that match the type of two other items. 4. Add "show all items" button similar to the other places in the game. 5. Add some useful ordering to the items. "When was got" is kinda natural, but hardly useful. You always end up scrolling the list to the bottom. Doesn't help it, when the reference items are at the top.
I.e. I have cloak, boots and amulet equipped, and I have boots, bracers, ring and amulet in inventory. When I click to replace cloak, I certainly don't want to equip boots, as it'll end up replacing boots, not cloak. I hope, you got the idea. In short: make it simple and obvious. Don't need a clutter of buttons noone will ever use.
