It is limited to 4.
This was improved in the sequel, Templar Battleforce.

This one might require a whole new engine to fix. I'm not sure we can defeat the auto-clicker, it is too fast!

Thanks for providing those extra specifics. Added to the list to fix. I definitely wouldn't have figured it out without the additional information provided.

Berserker is a heavy focus build, no doubt.
Thanks for the Templar Battleforce content!

I will see if I can add a hover over the "9/10" to indicate that it is showing how many are operational. I've never had anyone say that was confusing before, but I can see what you mean.
I think if the player has missed "the mass is reduced temporarily because a component is heavily damaged" this screen probably won't be the place to fix that confusion -- might be too much for the damage screen to be responsible for, to be honest. The wiki is really the place for deep dives.
I'll take a look at the buttons, but I suspect it is a type of button that has two active parts and conveys state to the user via a graphical shader toggle. That's what it looks like in the screenshot to me, but I will check the code when I get back to reviewing this report.

Not sure what we'll be able to do, as you're the only user to ever report this issue in 3.5 years. Adding: I am not losing game progress. The game's autosave feature appears fairly robust and reload resolves the issue every time. I'm reporting mostly because I thought you'd like to know about a stability issue. Honestly, had I not been active on the discord and forums already I probably wouldn't have reported it, as I wouldn't have a) known to come here nor b) thought it significant enough to worry about. Thankfully we have enough people playing the game on Windows that we hear about stability issues loud and clear via email. Obviously, we still take every crash and unexpected shutdown event seriously. While it doesn't generate a crash report, the type of freeze you are describing would show up in our Steam analytics. I did some testing by manually freezing out the GPU thread and ensuring that the resulting non-close was correctly flagged, and it was. So I can say with reasonable confidence that the game is as stable now as it was last year. It is possible something is changing with the NVIDIA device drivers or a new bug has snuck into the OS-driver-gamemode-GPU stack and we're tripping it in a new and novel way. We will keep an eye out for any other reports of freezing. I've setup a half dozen different VM to run non-stop tests where the game is exercised via the keyboard until it crashes. So far they've been running a few days without stopping. I'll let them run until one crashes or I run out of AWS credits.

Last night I was a playing, and after a while, every time I was in the quadrant map, there was a large overlay near the bottom describing fuel tanks (probably from somewhere in the Upgrade dialog), partially obscuring the Star Atlas and Galactic Map buttons. It would disappear every time I went to another screen, and come back when I came back to the map. There was no way to get rid of it by clicking on it or whatnot. When I came back to the game and re-loaded that captain, the overlay was finally gone. This sounds completely crazy, LOL. If you're going to post stuff like this PLEASE post some details. <3 <3 <3 - Screenshot - What platform (Steam, Android, iOS) - What OS (Win10, Mac, Linux, Android7, iOS10) - What STF Build (v3.1.83) We've got literally thousands of people playing the game every day and when there is a graphical bug I will generally get 100+ emails about it. I've never heard of "a large overlay near the bottom describing fuel tanks" from anyone, so I really need help from you to understand what you are posting about. I have absolutely no information beyond what you are willing to share. If there is a rendering bug (I'm guessing, need more details) it must be very rare, or you have a super unique setup. Either way, for me to have any chance of turning this post into a fix I will need way more info. Sorry for the negative experience! Bums me out that you seem to have nothing but problems with the game, I hope you are able to enjoy playing it.

The officer gives bonus to fighting aliens (for advance, ram, gun and torpedo)
Artifacts does NOT (IIRC, someone correct me) help with Boarding -- that is reserved for Weapons.
The officer's bonus vs. Xeno is scaled up by Artifacts and (IIRC) some ship upgrades may play a role.

Thank you so much dunkmujunk for stopping by and taking the time to post. Game development is often a sea of endless negativity, it is so nice to sometimes see a positive post. Thanks for your support. We will keep trying to improve our craft and make better and better games!

Maybe something we could perhaps try to fix in a future patch. Not sure how valuable it is.

Hopefully it was obvious I wasn't trying to say it was an original idea in AoP.
Age of Pirates was the first game of ours that featured a Conflict driven ship capturing feature.
Mostly inspired by Uncharted Waters IIRC.

Hey sorry for the confusion, I'll check and see if there is anything that could possibly be improved there.
I doubt it, but I will check again!

That's interesting. I might be able to fix this one in a future patch, not sure.
Very minor little UI thing, definitely not correct but I understand why it is happening.
I might be able to fix it by hardcoding a string for -100, I'll see if that is a simple fix.
