Captain Nikolai's brow furrowed, and sweat ran down his nose and chin and dripped onto his console. His Leviathan mech was beginning to overheat, and he knew that next to come was heat fatigue and the subsequent fight to keep his consciousness. He and his second-in-command, Jadzia, had fought their way through a dozen Xeno, and they were both appreciative of the air scrubbers which kept them from smelling the ichor dripping from their mechs. Jadzia was even worse off than Nikolai, but he didn't complain, bearing the sweltering heat without a word. The sliding doors which would lead to the gate consoles were just ahead, and they ran past a pair of Skitterings to get there. To the east they could just barely see a Tact Point, covered with alien filth and crawling with Xeno. Nikolai prayed that they would remain unseen. Bullets rained over his shoulder as Jadzia tore into the Skitterings behind him. Pathetic screams erupted and Nikolai didn't even turn-- Jadzia knew how to do his job. The pair sprinted their way to the doors and punched the controls. A Skittering jumped and flew through the air at Nikolai, who slammed his wide blade into its mandibles, stopping it short. He leveled his plasma pistol over the sword and sent a boiling hot bolt down its throat. A simple swipe of the blade and the lifeless corpse tumbled to the ground. Jadzia pushed past his captain, meaning to use him as cover, but as he turned to ready his weapon, a chorus of hisses and screeches erupted in the darkened corridor. The console room had been over taken and they had walked straight into a trap. There was no time to react, and two Xeno closed the distance, bearing into the Soldier's mech and raking it with their razor sharp claws. Sensors and alarms screamed as the suit registered major damage, and Jadzia reeled from the vicious attack. He brought his gun to bear and steeled his jaw. He worked his controls and sent a sharp burst into the closest Hunter, which leaped back as the high caliber rounds went to work on its carapace. Nikolai hoped Jadzia would make it through, and he motioned for them both to back into the corridor. The Xeno to the east had heard Jadzia's rifle fire and had begun to swarm toward them; it was two Templars against an entire host, and he didn't know if they would see this battle through.

Cory Trese This is a recurring issue that I've reported twice so far, but have come across several times...

I hate seeing adverts, so I always have one up on my laptops.
If I'm always on a website (there's an amazing random name generator I use frequently, for example...) and the host of it is using ads as their only income, I'll whitelist it to support them.

CdrPlatypus -- how ya been?! Haven't seen you on here in ages. Oh yeah, took another look at that 5AP setup. So ridiculous with FEROCITY...

How many Templars are there? In the story's quadrant and all the others?

Yuuuuuup. Was just farting around in a boost in and got a 325 crit on FEROCITY 3 and BR build. Before the new change anyway, and only with a 4AP attack. I don't even want to know the damage on a 5.
OK I do.

Woooooow.
Now I really want to try that 5/2 AP FEROCITY build again. Just tear the bloody hell out of an enemy and move on to the next.

Is 317 turns on my first impossible game any good? I have no idea... I spent literally the entire game buying W/F and surrendering to every Pirate I came across...
Damn mutineers were the death of me.

Hydras, all day long. Awesome write-up algesan, and I totally agree with the comments about Nyra-- she's kinda annoying, especially when I have my own paladin to train..

You may tweak this depending on your difficulty. If you're playing on Nightmare, then you can skip the Lore/Int points and focus on your accuracy. Vraes: Con primary and Str secondary. He will also need a point or two somewhere for Int, but that's up to your needs. For Skills, he will need to go to 16 on whatever weapon he's using, but on the way he could use some points in Leadership and Lore if you want some extra turns (Depending on your buffs. Not a bad idea to skip Leadership actually. In a long battle, sometimes it would be beneficial to let BR fade out so you can have your defenses back, but as always this is dependent on your play style). As long as you make your weapon a priority, he can spare a few points for lore/lead. Vincent: Up to your preferences. I usually split between Int and Con. LS 10 is expensive, so he needs to have a sizeable Spirit pool to draw upon. Con helps when he has to take a few hits from archers... Sorcery 16 is a priority, but if you plan on using a curse, you'll need to invest in Conjuring to hit extra targets. If his accuracy is fine, dump a point or two here if you get them. Fyona: She needs to go pretty much all in on Con, with a point here and there for Str and Int. Remember she will need all the HP and toughness she can get, which is where Con comes in. Ignore Lore. Go all in on Hammers, with a few points in Leadership to extend SoC. Hammers will add to her dice pool for both offense and defense, so for a tank it's her most important skill by far. Selen: If you're going with a switch hitter, I go 2:1 Dex:Con, with a point or two in Int. Skills I go all Blades, with a smattering of points for Lore (Buff extension) and Stealth-- just to keep ahead of the curve. Let me know if you have any more questions-- I hope this helps!
