I've always loved the custom difficulty in Cyber Knights; would love to see it in Star Traders. Being able to set enemy captains to 190% my level, but normal starting funds, normal fuel consumption, and better economy would be nice. I'm assuming it's to late for ST, so maybe ST2 could have a custom difficulty?

Perhaps this is the wrong spot for this thread, but this has been a matter of debate with myself for some time: if Shalun started the Exodus, wouldn't that mean he is still leading the main fleet? Are we ever going to meet the handsome bastard or no? Lol

Just posting to say that I'm still working on Roach as my time allows. I've made so many errors and mistakes with this story, and there are issues that keep cropping up... But I'm learning so much from it. I never realized the importance of an ending before you start, or how important it is to have a theme reflected in every scene. There's a lot I did wrong. But there's a lot of stuff in there I'm proud of too. And I wanted to thank you guys for the support and feedback. I couldn't have done this without your support. Thanks guys. Now get back to writing and posting and stop procrastinating. I've found that focusing on breathing life into the world you're creating is a great way to start. You have to think of yourself as a deity; you give life to the world and its inhabitants, and they use their free will to tell you their story. Once your characters have a personality, you no longer need to tell them what to do, they'll do it themself. They might even surprise you.

Does pirate cargo generator have to do with enemy pirates having more cargo, or that enemy ships have more cargo if playing as a pirate?

When creating a new captain, the starter ship "Vark Mordi" is listed at having 7 armor, but upon game start only has 5 armor. Only a graphical bug, but it is a bug I'm guessing lol

Not really magic in my eyes, but I made a character who can send projections of himself through realities. Anything that is considered or could be considered a world is a reality to the character. He will travel in and out of existence itself without traveling at all. Since ideas, memories, dreams - basically the mind - are worlds he can enter, he can manipulate people's thoughts, actions, or even change their personality this way. If he would ever die, one of his other projections become the "real" him, but being "real" doesn't really matter to him.
Name is Sevyn, calls himself Sevynthe Flohwe. A very ego eccentric mindset, but do to the fact that he is in fact superior his ego is projected in a condescending and childish way. His goals at this time are incomplete.

Survivability of my captains through early phases is more than 80%, think again Maybe next time I won't toggle extreme difficulty lol. Started out with 0 credits even after first contract, and suffered multiple mutinies until a pirate killed me

poryg yeah, but just thinking that boarding also needs tactics meaning you should have a good amount of skill for using guns. Or does tactics need to be left on a certain level and continue building warrior and str for those boarder types? Warrior is main skill for boarding. Tactics helps out all forms of combat

I think what it means is since on higher difficulties you will run into high lvl captains and stronger ships, those alien hives would be extremely difficult to beat by gunning out their engines. But I think people say that because in the past Strength didn't increase lvl, so more points were put in the other skills of the aliens. Now that Strength is counted towards lvl, you should be able to beat them as a gunner. One of the veteran players could explain it better

Apparently on high difficulties the only way to beat the strongest aliens is by boarding, but I haven't run across anything like that myself so I wouldn't know. I was told that until I understand the difference of planet types, I have to keep playing on Demanding lol

I feel that a gunner is the easiest build, and is also very effective. 200% pilot, 100% - 150% tactics. I stop at 10 Stealth and 6 - 10 Intimidate.
Largest Hull I use is 12 so my 30 engines make me a terror to other ships. With the high pilot and engines, you will avoid most boarding attempts. There is also an upgrade that gives 2 armor and resistance to boarding(forgot the name).
Pirate, MO, or BH for that build. Keep Stealth either at 200% or same as Tactics for a Spy.
I feel that playing for the Syndicates is best since they are all clustered together in the starting area, while Steel Song is broken away from the other two clans. Sometimes I play for Independents, but that is only when I'm bored and want to fight everybody.
Pilot Officer with a Bridge upgrade is awesome. Talk about overkill lol.

There was a time in the past that I was blockading an Independent world for an extended period of time as a pirate, and my morale dropped by 2 points. Not sure if it was a bug, or if my crew was getting bored. Probably not a bug, but that's so vague. There are hundreds of possible outcomes from something like this. I am guessing that you lost morale for a good reason. If this post came in like 5 years ago, I would have guessed bug. But at this point for ST RPG ... probably not a bug I guessed that since I wasn't taking part in faction conflicts or doing contracts, my crew was bored. I wasn't losing any battles or surrendering.
