Lol @ space kraken. Guess the trekkie part of me wants to see what else is out there in the vastness of space.

Can't say how many times I've tried to press the status or menu buttons in the top-right only to miss slightly and have my ship go careening of to nowhere. This area shouldn't allow clicks to go through.

Yes, this would be helpful.
Also it would be very helpful to display the number of other crewmen that have a particular job in the select a job screen. For instance when I am assigning a job to an officer it would be nice to know which ones I'm stacked at and which ones I'm missing.
I have a hard time remembering what all my officers are set up as.

I think it would be really cool to occasionally encounter empty or seemingly empty vessels or wrecks in space. Interactions could include: - Boarding and searching for survivors. This could potentially lead to crew battles with xeno or other factions that are setting up an ambush. - Perhaps if you have room survivors could join your crew. - If you have a passenger hold maybe you could transport them to a faction world for rep gain. - Alerting the proper faction so they could retrieve the wreck for rep gain. - Salvaging the ship for credits. - Looting the hold for goods. I know that some of this is built into the patrol system, but could it potentially be expanded or be used outside of patrol?
Thoughts?

A couple more to add to the The Javatian Circuit are the Terraforming components and Capital Ship components from industrial worlds. While neither of them is ever present in large quantities, they can easily represent a few thousand credits on a quick turnaround if you can get a good setup.

Thanks for the clarification on the trade ban. I didn't know there were going to be multiple types!
Here's the screenshot of the trade ban/alliance issue.

A trade ban and an alliance between the same factions shouldn't coexist, correct?

I had previously bought the crystals and other goods from a Cadar world, but only those were banned from sale.
Also, a trade ban and an alliance between the same factions shouldn't coexist, correct?

Devaltos owns it. It seems to be only certain types of goods. Crystals seen to be banned, not sure what else. Is there a rumor or event that would cause rep loss for just crystals? I don't see any rumors listed in this quadrant.

When you load up a new game who do you promote first? Do you look for a special crewman (exo-scout, diplomat, etc) or do you promote from within?
I've been either promoting a crewman and making them a doctor, or if I can, grabbing a diplomat and promoting them asap.
Also when leveling your officers - do you level them up until level 6 so they can access more talents, or do you spread the wealth over several jobs?
