I have been sailing around for a bit now, but I have somehow managed to forget where to go and what to do after the trade intro to the main story. I got back to Glencoe to visit the kid, and lost the instructions from there. Can anybody confirm the next step? Also, I am excited to see this game flesh out a bit. I am particularly fond of the wind system. Some cool stuff you can do with particular sail plans. I sailed tall ships for a while, so if you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to discuss stuff. I guess what I mean is that for a schooner, the most efficient point of sail if i recall is beam reach, whereas something like a brig or a square rigged ship would be broad reach. Just some fun thoughts to play with.

Market. Hmm. Ill see if not having my own music playing has anything to do with it. Though I've not noticed this before.
And that's no offense to the game soundtrack! I just love me som Tom Waits sometimes when I'm gettin my crew good and spiced.

Confirmed a few more times. I'm trying to figure out if there's another process running that's screwing with it. But I've never had this issue before. So it looks like it doesn't depend on planet. Not that it would. Using the 'back' button on a menu occasionally just restarts at save state. Get different stats after the glitch for upgrades available, and crew available for recruitment.

With the new update, I seem to be having an odd issue. Example: I load my captain, James Brown. His save state was just beaten by a pirate, needs to go repair hull and sail and load up water fuel. Rychart planet, don't recall which. If it helps I can get that info too. Anyway, get all fixed up, ready to go dance in Javat's famous spice clubs. And so I click on the 'back' button, to get to space. And instead of bringing me to space, the screen switch (the flip from one screen to the next) catches a little bit, and I'm back at the dock, none of my repairs having been made, none of my fuel purchases made. I'm trying to get this to happen again (its happened 2 or 3 times) so I can see if its just going back to the save state, or actually glitching my credits away too. Cos that would suck. Mr. Brown needs a new outfit...
Thoughts?
/edit: it doesn't appear to be robbing me of credits. Just time. I haven't done anything major like trade a bunch of goods or buy a new ship yet, but if this happens then too, I imagine Mr. Brown would have a bigger issue on his hands.

The backing out of combat via app-killer (or back button? Didn't work for me...) issue does not seem to go back to a pre-fight state. I tried it, and found that whatever state of health or items you have at the moment you close, even in mid-combat, is the state it reloads. So, funny example. Guy with an uzi get me. Kills me, but has more rounds so the toast for 'defeat' doesn't come up right away. I closed the app. Reloaded. Zero health. Maybe its just me, but I'm not sure zombies are a part of cyberpunk lore? Cyber Knights definitely doesn't feel 'planet terror' enough for that to be the case.. not sure if this adds anything to the picture?

'Hey cory. Pass me the grape.' 'What? We didn't code any grapes into the update...' 'Ooh, there's an idea! 5-hour cybernetic energy.'

blackgauntletRight, I guess part of me had to say how excited I am for that to happen. Totally agree about sandbox mode. I guess I really mean it would be neat to see how dynamic the system of factions can be, and how much agency you as a character eventually acquire in that process. Don't know on the code end how much of that is coming? Haven't read all the posts here yet. =)

Benefits of high-dodge armor versus bodysuits with high ballistics and negative dodge?

cool =) I love how active you guys are. I'm not complaining too much, my sniper is learning to be picky about contracts. Its an interesting system. Half wish I was decent at coding so I could really understand all the variables you're planning on dealing with.
Devoted, as always.

Ok, so my ct character is a little frustrated that safe delivery of a package or an easy assassination in streets or los val territory can pay upwards of 400 nuyen, but occasionally a really tough assassinate or capture contract pays 100? And this is only an issue because the difficulty of the assassination depends on the faction in the zone where the target is and the random number of goons in the way. If some of the variables were different I guess?
Example: Sniper gets contract to kill in Camden Streets. Pays 300. Knowing he will only have to get through some measly thugs, he takes it.
Sniper gets another contract, kill in North End. 100 pay. Arrives at hotel, and finds 8 samurai and 2 drones. Wtf? Takes on army by himself, and uses his pay to recover.
Are there plans to have the difficulty of the assassination reflected in the pay? What number crunching goes into that right now?

Oh! And the ability to interact with patrons at a bar or brothel. Some npcs that have nothing (or something) to do with progress, or might become friends, but at least add a little dimension. Like dockworkers who recently got laid off, or fenians in the pub after a funeral, talking smack about the corps (dome fell on him), or, accesible to faces or to high stealth and negotiate skills, corporate events where you can talk to monkeysuits about business etc, find out about corruption. Just some backstories. If you're. In with security corps or can fake it well enough, hanging out at the local 'spice hall' after hours, get some info, or just general bs. with your boys.
Note: id be more than happy to contribute with backstories and such. I write when I'm not working.)
