khamya9 - thank you so much for the post and for the snippets of clues on how to fix this. We're seeing crashes, but didn't yet have any clues or hope to reproduce! So, in terms of a step-by-step: 1) Go to New Treaty 2) Select a New Treaty 3) Hit Back button -- is this on the Android hardware button?

Not the hardware button, the top right corner of the ui which is supposed to take you back to the galaxy map. Instead it closes the game. I haven't seen a crash until after the first year, but possibly that's just because politics are/so slow at first.

According to the uiitis the "empire summary" page. Left column has treaty, new treaty, and politics icons, bottom right is advisor, top right is factions and back, middle of page is the summary itself.
If you go to new treaty and start one, then from the summary page select "back" to return to the galaxy map you get the crash. And on the bottom left that is where the politics icon greys itself out sometimes. If it is greyed out you will always crash using the back icon.

I went to politics by hitting a notification saying diplomatic efforts were suspended. Made a new treaty to make a new trade route even though there were already three conflicts in play (spy, trade route, trade route), pressed back and the game closed.
I don't think it happens every time to. It's like an "occasional" bug
