When I enter tower of horror after clearing tower of pain, I find the area devoid of encounters and there's red locked chests and a door to the east. As far as I can tell there isn't any secret door in those limited accessible area that leads into other parts of the tower. is this a bug? i have tried exploring more of north east wheel road to see if any event trigger the tower 'release' but so far , half way down, nothing of note. if this isn't a bug just let me know , without disclosure of spoiler contents Edit : on the matter of red locked door, I remember some days ago, on west wheel road I think, on the east side there is a red locked door which Vincent remarked is for looting and takes the party further away from main goal, something of the irk. I was surprised to be able to unlock the red locked door upon clicking on it and entering into east wheel road. The road is barred by another red locked door which , at that time, I was unable to open. Aren't those doors, both sets, supposed to be barred until after second tower is done ? I haven't even done the first one at that point.

rygar - you can only clear one tower at each level. So, three total towers. It needs some dialog "no one is home" which will be added in a coming release. If you are in the East or West Wheel Road, the red-lock doors going to the other map (East > West, or West > East) are opened as soon as you clear the first Tower.

I took a detour off to east instead of heading north to continue the plot and hence I thought of tower of horror as an optional dungeon. I was in west wheel road for sure. I could open one door which leads to a map to east wheel road but exploration is barred in that map by another set of red door. Which is odd to me. in any case after first tower and second tower are done I made sure to recheck that sealed door but it remains shut.

The towers come in three tiers - the first, the second, and the central tower.
Tier one includes Sorrow & Loss Tier two includes Pain and Horror Tier three is Ember Tower (final).
You can only defeat one Tower in each tier.
Your last para does sound odd to me. If you defeated the Tower of Sorrow, the red-locked door into the East Road will open. Then you can go north into Orso's Gate.

Ah I get it now. Presumably the other 2 towers of the same tier form the prerequisite first 2 tower for the braey story arc? as for the red door it is still closed after tower of pain is done as shown here

rygar - thanks for the screenshot. Did you clear the Tower of Sorrow (Koda) or the Tower of Loss (Braeys) as your first tier tower? I just tested this, and I find the door open as expected, so I cannot currently reproduce.

fallen definitely it's tower of sorrow as I was entering under koda's banner. As west wheel road leads to the first tower- tower of sorrow in my case-, it is certain I would have come upon the eastern red door in west wheel road before I proceeded to enter the tower. Hence it is almost a certainty I would have clicked on that door, opened it as mentioned, only to find the second door in that east wheel map locked. To reproduce the bug maybe you can try clicking the red door in west wheel road before you have completed first tower.

rygar - clicking on the door does not open the door. Only defeating the lord of the Tower.

There's 2 minor bug issue here
1) in my game I could click and open the red door east of west wheel road, before even venturing into tower of sorrow. This is vivid and distinct as I remember Vincent had a dialogue to explain where that door lead to, how it deviate from out main goal and how we could possibly traverse there for looting. More than anything the possibility of the last part in looting caught my attention and hence I clicked, I entered and I was barred by the red door in the east wheel road.
2) the red door in east wheel road, even presently after both tower of sorrow and pain were done, is still barred as captured in my screenshot.
I suspect this anomaly arise due to me doing (1) and broke the chain of sequence that enabled both set of doors to be opened after tower of pain is cleared.
That is all the details I could provide for you to reproduce the bugs. Hope it helps

rygar - yes, I believe you are correct. I have fixed the ability to open the door from the inside without going to the Tower, and this should be resolved for future travel who brave the CoD.

I am following the Braey's banner and these are the towers I could clear. Tier 1 Tower of Sorrow Tier 2 Tower of Pain Next I should proceed to the Tower of Ember. The Towers of Horror and Loss only open if you choose the Koda Banner right?

You can still go over to their side and enter those towers, but you will find them empty and red-locked doors which prevent you from going very far in.

I believe if you chose Braeys banner you would do tower of loss and horror instead . those you listed are for Koda's which is what I'm doing. And yes as per lurker post those other two tower not of your faction would currently be empty and restricted. I believe fallen will put in a sign or dialogue to bar people from enter them in a future release.

rygarI wrote down the names of the Towers as I entered them. I am definitely playing under the Braey's banner (I didn't like Koda's attitude). The first Tower "Entering the Tower of Sorrow" Combat Occurred I defeated the gatekeeper Wraith and Seer Lord Rasp. Doors to inner temple opened. The second Tower "Entering the Tower of Pain" Faced Rasp again then Lord Emesai appeared starting another round of battle. Doors to inner temple opened. "Entering the Tower of Horror" - The gatekeeper was not present the room remained empty and the doors to the inner temple had red locks. "Entering the Tower of Loss" - Empty outer chamber no gatekeeper or combat, doors stayed locked. If this isn't how it's supposed to work there maybe a bug or I am locked in the Tower of Confusion. * Note: In the Tower of Pain after defeating the Seer Lord the doors didn't automatically open the first time. I quit HoS exited Steam. Logged in again started HoS party appear where I left them and doors opened. I figured it was a one time glitch not worth mentioning.

John Robinsonodd as my game path was the same as yours even though I'm representing the koda. I had assumed the towers differ according to the choice of faction but apparently in your case it isn't so.
