We haven't had any other reports of crashing, and neither Amazon nor Google are reporting crashes.
Can you help me out with some more details? What version (Free or Elite) and what market (Amazon, Google Play) you are using?
Is there anything about the device that might be blocking sending the crash reports? Are you sure the update successfully installed for 1.7.3? Have you tried rebooting the Android?
I've played several thousand turns with the v1.7.3 both with positive and negative money, purchasing politics the entire time and haven't had any crashes. I'm hoping we can help you get past yours!

I have free and Elite from both the Google store and Amazon stores. I am only noticing this on Amazon kindle HDX 7.0" Elite. It also seems to only happen when money is below $1000 and I open the political window or click on something a second time(like a ship I moved, or a colony I wanted to recheck something.. It seems like instead of refreshing a screen it starts to cycle a turn, then stops. It has let me move a ship that has already been moved but the date doesn't advance and the money always goes down (if positive) or becomes zero (if negative). If it's over about $500 it will take about $100 off the total and off the profit(going negative if it's was low). I have not noticed if the amounts are related.
It happens every time the back button is pressed in the political screen and sometimes when clicking a ship that has already been moved. If it's a ship, the water/fuel will drop like the turn was ended after it shows me the old value. Sometimes the ship can move again sometimes not. Have noticed it on the transport, explorer and the carrier.
UPDATE: I started a new game with exactly the same settings on the same device and I am getting more toasts. Never got one about templar festivals or riots in the old game. It's still a new game but the money is accruing and not going to zero. Nor is it crashing on the political screen. When the update to the current version came out, could there have been something in the game save data that didn't change? I will pay the new game a while then switch back to the old one to see what happens.

I did find a bug with negative credits and treaties, and of course that will be fixed in next release Still not fixed. Just bought a 500 credit treaty with just 200 credits remaining, credits went to 0.

Still not fixed. Just bought a 500 credit treaty with just 200 credits remaining, credits went to 0. That's the expected feature. Yeah I just realized that now. And by purchasing a treaty you don't have sufficient credits for, it takes twice as long. An interesting feature, and very useful for players who need to stop a negative conflict but don't have the sufficient credits because credits have already been drained from said conflict.

An interesting feature, and very useful for players who need to stop a negative conflict but don't have the sufficient credits because credits have already been drained from said conflict. It only costs twice as long on higher difficult settings.
