Hmmm, if you're not too far in, I would just restart with Karjtan. Otherwise you'll have to modify the plan a bit. You can exchange Frigid Air for Meteroic Shockwave, but Choking Ash is hard to replace. There's no point in developing both Ethereal Anguish (priest -AP spell) and Flash Freeze (sorcerer -AP spell). So would chose one of them and then do something else with the other character. Thundering Blades in some ways does what Choking Ash would. It raises your chance to hit and adds damage by adding lighting damage. It won't be as effective though. Maybe just stick with Frigid Air and high levels of Lightening Spear for the Sorcerer. It will shift your dodge tanks more to a role of protecting Vincent while he does most of the damage. Like I said, if you can restart, it would be better.

Thanks for another so quick reply! I'm gonna stick with the lightning mage. Not playing on nightmare, 'just' on hard. Frigid Air and Lightning Spear seem like good picks for him indeed. Last question for now: The Rogue, she needs leveling up in lockpicking / disarm traps too, doesnt she? That's gonna take a lot of skillpoints away for melee skills but understandable.

She doesn't actually. It's something that the developers keep saying they are going to add in, but nobody knows when that will be or how they will do it. It will be interesting to see how they manage it without breaking everybody's existing games since, at the moment, I think, nobody bothers to level those up.

Something I won't miss is putting skillpoints into those skills. Glad to hear I can skip those. I'll add some points to that reveal skill instead somewhere. I'm addicted in using that skill by the way. And I am starting to love this game. The combination of Action Points, Nice skills, More than a one man party, Turn Based, and some story is all I want/need from an RPG.

@carda - thanks for the posts and welcome to the forum. We hope you'll make an account and stick around. Glad you're enjoying Heroes of Steel.
A big thing you can do to help us be able to continue to create and update our games is to leave a review on your market, and update it too!

contributor I'm goin to give a group like this a try. I'm interested to try out crippling strikes. I've never actually used it before. Note on strength. It does not benefit light blades

You gonna go the all melee route?

I'm debating. The lack of holy damage may hurt long term, but I don't have a nmi melee group atm and I like the idea of kj cracking skulls

Especially if you develop Selen with Punishing Blades I think he could do it, maybe as soon as the Redhill Siege. I would really stress his constitution though. fallen we really need those badass staff animations you've been working on!

What would you think of rushing crippling strikes to get it by lvl 9?

That's dicey, because one of the dynamics of this team is that Kincaid starts out as the tank with a 2-3 levels of Cunning Footwork. Later, while he's focusing on Crippling, Selen is bringing QsD online and will take the main tank role for awhile, until they even out later into E2 and can co-tank. Without any Cunning Footwork there are a few battles that might be really hard to survive. I'm thinking of that one in the level after the first Deathkin, up in the north. I always spawn like 4-5 shaman and a host of other nasties. I always find that I have some turns in that fight where I just have to hunker down and tank till I get a few of the really scary mobs dealt with.

Ugh that fight is nasty. Now that I'm thinking about it that one at the special village can be a real pain too.
Better safe than sorry I suppose
