Gunslingers often find they lack the AP for a dual shot, but can make a single. There is incentive to pick the gun that has the most bullets,
so that you won't later find you cannot dual shot because one gun is empty (while the other has several bullets left). But unless the toast you get when you change primary weapons lists whether it is slot 1 or slot 2 (or left hand or right hand) it is very hard to keep track if you should be swapping weapons or not, because dual-shooting gunslingers are wielding the exact same weapon in each hand, by definition.
