Just started a new game with all the default characters. Feels weird getting some throwing knives when no one can use them, but then again you can loot two handers when you're using a Kincaid/Kyera team. Just sharing my thoughts, seeing as how all other games handle loot the same way.

The random loot is random, you will only get what you [probably] want as rewards.

I don't know any looting game that does this. The question is -- are the Throwing Knives that dropped worth good money or crap money?

The question is -- are the Throwing Knives that dropped worth good money or crap money? I just sold mine about an hour ago, I didn't look. If it's an item no one can use, I take no interest in it. That being said, I was still able to purchase upgrades for everyone, with a bit left over for some group health pots, playing on NM. I also agree on the tailoring part of the looting game, but having played this game for the last few months and seeing this new drop just threw me off a bit is all I was saying.

Vendor trash seems to be part of the economy of every RPG w/ loot. I cant remember any titles without it. I think it is basically to give it a gambling feel. Would it really be fun if you knew you would win every time?
*from a game design perspective. If there was a slot machine where I would be guaranteed to pull a 777 every time I would be on their all damn day long lol.

I love getting loads of crap to sell off! And when you do get something useful, it's a pleasant surprise. So for me, more loot is win-win

That's a blessing and a curse because if you're trying to build up your own character, you're sweet, but if you're trying to build up your follower, or another party member that's a different class, you're often struggling to get anything of value to them. They even give you the ability to modify a single affix for a magical weapon, but again the modifier is based on your current character.

As does Sacred 2 - the weapons and armour will, around 80% of the time, be something your current character can equip. The other 20% it could be anything
