Awwwww someone left a 2 star review on Cyber Knights! We need your 5 star reviews? market.android.com/details?id=com.tresebrothers.games.cyberknightselitePlease? Seriously you know I'm going to be working day-and-night to satisfy the requests of the player group ... Loan us a five star review and we'll pay you back, with interest. New games on the Android Market live and die by two things: - Bugs in Google Market
- Review Ratings
The Google Market is refusing to promote CK RPG Elite on most devices -- bugs! We need those reviews to compensate.

Right now on my devices the only review showing for Cyber Knights RPG Elite is this:
** by Kevin (August 11, 2011) Graphics are week, and the game is very difficult to navigate. Has a long way to go.

And you know I'd leave them a 5 Star Review if I knew which game it was.
We do occasionally see known developer e-mail and accounts leaving bad reviews. Makes no sense to me, really. Like we (as a group) don't have enough problems with Google bugs, legal vultures, Market loosing payouts and lord knows what else.
I do not feel bad tho at least his review has some grammatical errors. Perhaps it too is in beta. =)

I made sure to list it as spam/unhelpful. How many of those does it take to move comments down the list?

My reviews don't seem to stick. I've given both RPG and Elite five stars at least 20 times and typed out reviews for both at least 3 times each and they don't seem to save. When I post the reviews (or stars) it tells me, "Uploading review.." then, "Review added." Then, if i go back one step so I'm off that app but still in the market (at my list of apps) then go back into the app the review (and stars) is gone. Not sure why it's not saving. Could be I'm running gingerbread on my Droid1 on a custom ROM with the latest market which is not officially supported on my phone.

dilz669 - i have noticed this a number of times as well. What is your market name, perhaps I can see the comments? Also, Google is now showing comments on the latest markets by "relevancy" as opposed to "chronology." Sometimes I have to clear the market cache (Settings -> Applications -> Manage Apps -> Market -> Clear Cache).

Its unfortunate that only the people with big voice will be listened, and its even more unfortunate that people with big voice will usually have a small brain.

See the main issue we have is that people like this guy named "Levainqueur" really dislike the Trese Brothers.
He takes the time to log into the Android Market and update his 1 and 2 star reviews 2-3 times per day. With dedication and time, he can ensure that his negative feedback is always front and center.
So a game like Star Traders RPG Elite, which has over 90% positive reviews can be dominated by a single anonymous person.
This guy, and people like "Kevin" in the OP dislike us enough that they don't want to post just one review -- they want to make sure that we know they hate us enough to spend time updating multiple reviews multiple times a day.
That is why I am always asking people to post and update reviews. If everyone just posted one review and could not control the display order it would be fair. As it is, a few dedicated bad actors can muck up the entire system.

taatuu25 -- Don't be worried tho, people like you are the ones we will listen to. We might stress out over the 1 star reviews but senior team players like yourself will ALWAYS be our source of inspiration and good ideas. We make these games for the people who like them. The haters are just making a lot of noise

I wish to register a complaint! There's no 6 Star option.

Complaining to Google is like having a shouting match with a Thunderstorm (or, in ST RPG parlance, a Radiation Storm.)

Posting responses to crazy people is only going to make them crazier =)
We love the reviews -- if you are trying to think about what to post in the comment, might I suggest one these:
* Favorite feature (freedom to explore, implants, etc) * Suggests / Requests (story mode, new job types, new weapons) * Helping Players (Tips, Contacts, Ideas or Recommending Forum or Facebook)

To expand upon what Cory said, I'm reminded of the following. Never argue with fool; they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
