It is a delicate balance.
Learning curve is steep.
Its a lot like the civ games in that way. Easy to learn, hard to master.
Had something similar happen to me. Wasn't paying attention close enough, and let a colony get over populated. Morale tanked, and it set off a chain reaction of fires to put out.
I think you guys have done a good job of simulating the reality of life. There are consequenses to every action, and each mistake or oversight could cost you.
