Tap Dancers is a very efficient build, and John Robinson will be thrilled to have someone take it for a drive. The dual curses provided by Vincent is what makes this such a power build. By removing any semblance of enemy offense, you are free to control the battle without worrying about too much. While I have never done a full curse Vincent or a full spell caster Kyera, reversing their normal roles works surprisingly well. Sundering only begins at 18, which could factor into when you could begin investing in it, but if it were my build, I would substitute Lightning Spear and put the pole arms points into sorcery. Nothing in this game is as fun as watching Vincent fry entire rooms of enemies, IMO... So you would replace Lightning Spear with Sundering? Or did you mean not get Sundering and keep Lightning Spear? I am inclined to keep use Vincent as nuker and curser and not use him for melee, as I've got enough of that as is. Right now Vincent is the guy who's the biggest drag in terms of damage output (I am at level 8), and I fear I will want more nuke power later, as Kyera will be busy with healing, too, and can't handle the nuke duties alone.

By the way, this is about as helpful and friendly gaming community as any I've found online. Amazing. So much in-depth help on the freaking first day!

Lightning Spear is God in this game. I don't want to advocate changing too much in this thread, but I always prefer ranged attacks, and while Kyera is stellar at what she does, I would always need more ranged attack going downrange. LS is just where I like him, and have had several successful runs where he just ignores everything until he Maces the talent out entirely.
This group needs his curses, however. Selen isn't using pinning shit, and Kyera isn't investing in Anguish, leaving that duty to Vincent.

I'm always glad to be of service, and this forum is truly a gem in the rough.

As I said, I don't want Vincent meleeing too much, and I am lacking nuking as is, with just Kyera doing it.

Another observation at level 8 is that Kincaid is not only untouchable with 2 hit auto-miss already, but he is also by far the highest damage dealer.
But I am a bit worried about how little damage Selen is doing though. I don't know what she is doing wrong, other than she is also wielding a bow in case she has nothing to do when there is a narrow corridor and only Kincaid can melee. Maybe I should just ditch the bow? But if there is a narrow corridor, and she needs to switch, is weapon switching possible in the middle of the battle?
Also, is there a better shop than the one in Oskahold I find at level 8 soon? I fear I am growing out of these weapons very fast.

She won't be dealing tons of damage until later. If you need more melee damage, use either two 1 AP blades, or a 1 AP in the primary, and a 2 AP in the off hand.
The shop will upgrade once you clear the northern fort, but you won't get another shop until you make it much further in the game. You need to explore every nook and cranny of the maps, as you will need to find equipment to see you through.
Let's continue this in the Group Build Feedback thread so this one stays on topic...

I created a separate thread about dual wielding, but what difference does the 1AP v. 2AP in the off-hand do? Sure; I will ask future questions there.
