My melee group hasn't spent any money on potions, incantations or tomes so far. I think it's finally time. The Volpa suddenly got really interesting.

Yeah, I'm really bad about paying attention to curses I have on my group. Then, all of the sudden, everybody was getting hit and Fyona did one hit and then was frozen in place. Which reminds me fallen, the implementation of this seems a little buggy. The AP doesn't come off until your hero moves. So if they don't move they still show as having so much AP. There may also be a bug too, if the curse is supposed to only take AP and not MP. My Fyona is wearing a ring that gives her +1 MP. On the start of her turn she was next to a mob. She hit with her 3AP hammer (she shouldn't have been able to do this if the curse takes away 5 AP). That mob died and I went to move her forward but she just wouldn't move even though she was still showing 1 MP and 4 AP (which is what you expect without the curse). So it was a little confusing until I pulled up her effects box and saw the curse. Other character had it to, but it would never show on them until they moved.

-5 ap is almost game breaking, imo... I'm all for crazy nasty curses, but to completely disallow 3ap weapon characters an attack is a bit over the top Hope you invested in those tomes- I'm certainly glad I have like 30 of them... It's going to take me ages to get to this quest- I have to clear the path from the Brayes all the way to Brunehorn. All the enemies have respawned and I'm stuck fighting level 22 mobs. I keep telling myself not to use potions, but I hate backtracking when I'm fighting things 2/3 my level. It's all good, I'm still getting experience

Hmmmm, contributor - I will investigate the bug. First, the text formatter is wrong -- it should read -5 MP and should basically nuke any MP bonuses that you have from gear or buffs. True -AP bugs are reserved for an ultimately more terrible kind of enemy and would never be so much as -5. But it still sounds like it isn't working. EDIT: fixed the formatter so that it will say "-5 Move Point" also fixed the formatter to properly display the curses that will hit you with -HP and -SP.

What I want to know is which one of the TB's dreamed that curse up? Somehow I think it must be Cory Trese as I always imagine him being the one who takes the most glee in finding ways to kill his players heroes.

fallen, are those curses that remove your max health/spirit? If so that remind me of done for ol' Guild Wars' Deep Wound, one of my favorite conditions of any game I've played. Boy do I miss deep wounds, I wish more games used a similar mechanic.

fallen, just hold your horses right there. I didn't say that you did kill Mighty Melee, only that you like to try. They actually only had 4-5 enemies left, so they just finished the combat without any cleansing. These guys are major badasses.

This is looking like it will be fun to play through! Just got to get through Sea Road and I will be there! fallenAm I looking for road tiles to get to the entrance of the quest? I already started it in Granthorn.

contributor - hahaha, wasn't implying that I killed you ... just that I can be as evil as Cory Dark of Winter ! That has got to be the most evil curse thus far in the history of HoS. Especially when cast just before enemy infantry slam into you on the same round. Oh let me guess this gets cast by a shaman when a wolf lord is two squares away.. Sweet Polly Purebred recently speculated that you and Cory compete with each other to see who can come up with the nastiest curses. You can't run, You can't hide just enough time to scream before you die

I already started it in Granthorn. If you've started it in Granthorn, then you need to either: (1) return to Brunehorn by boat and leave out the east exit (2) from Granthorn, head north up the Sea Road until you reach the exit there. In either case, you'll be offered the option to go to Crag Peak.
