So, I started a new OG group last night ( En1gma I think I have a problem...maybe) to test out the new blacknight and figure out how to fit it in a leveling build. My goal is to take this group at least to lvl 13 to get some good testing in with silent stalker, so far they are at lvl 7 and I am loving having +mp on Tam. I started by sticking her first 2 pts in to blacknight to grab the first + 1mp and I believe that will be my go to for her from now on. Having that extra mp works out to be a nice damage increase. Let me explain: I am finding myself often able to get 2-3 shots instead of 1-2 on the first turn and in more mobile battles where I am not falling back to a single square choke point the extra little bit of mobility is allowing me to almost always get a full 3 shots in a turn as well as allowing for a little bit of shoot and scoot. I will post more later once I get some time to give it a go with silent stalker and then look at up-ing blacknight to 4 for +2mp Gundamgoth gives the upgraded Blacknight 2-thumbs way up!

I didn't made a new group, just stuffed 4'th point into Blacknight. Even wthout Silent Stalker, the gameplay has changed. I no longer afraid of being pinned to the wall, I can even step behind the opponent's back and STILL have enough AP to release 2-3 arrows, depends on what bow is in hand. (Yes, I've since got two bows.)

Glad it's helping everyone! It is definitely huge to be able to step back from an enemy a square or two and still hammer out all the arrows.

My next determination is how and when to spend points in prep for silent stalker...I'm thinking blacknight 2 and farsight 2 then DI 3, but not upping aimed shot could be really hard to deal with...decisions decisions

Grrrrr... The struggle... Welcome to my world, CdrPlatypus, welcome to my world. I'm refusing to start anymore groups for right now. Vicinity of Obscenity is on the Assault, and Kinetic Energy is still hammering away at the CoD. That and the Reaver group, and I'm swamped. When I do start a new group, I will definitely be trying her out. Now we just have to figure out how best to build her... again...

En1gma It is my struggle 2, I'm going back to the OG right now, going to see if I can beat my NM-IM score without any of the IAP heroes, just cause. Too your credit a slight mod to your Iron Curtain build placed my furthest flag.

I've tried them I'm not a fan. If you loot the up specced ox bow in the torrent watershed or in redhill keep it easily out damages the best 3AP bow available in rivenfeild (the maw).

It's too bad the 3AP bows aren't better than they are in the early game... I really like the idea of them, but my last Tam build to use them completely fizzled out.
I still really want to reincarnate the Iron Curtain, by the way- they were so much fun to play...

One of the reasons why they fizzle with Tam is the most fun/popular way to get her damage is with DI more shots per turn = more chances to crit. I can see switching to a 3AP bow after getting Volley. It's AOE compensates for the reduced shot per turn. En1gma One of my tweaks for Iron curtain was to go for BFD 3 instead of BA 3. It actually worked out better for me. I seldom need to heal both Fyona and Vraes in the same turn and it was Nice to be able to decurse and heal bomb vraes/fyona in one shot. I ran both as constitution builds and they just ended up with too much of a health pool to make BA an efficient heal. An ultimate late game if you wanted to avoid potions would be to bumb BA up to 2 after getting enough paints in righteous fervor to match the heal.

Doesn't everyone carry 2 bows for Tami? I've still yet to take the party through Ep 3, but at end of Ep 2, Tami carries the Great Recurved Bow 3AP (53-96 dam at 7 range - 9 Accuracy) Assassin's Bow 2AP (29-80 at 6 range - 7 Accuracy) .
I would have gone into Ep 3 and no doubt gotten better bows, but grrrrr ... CK is taking up my free time!

*shame* 3 AP/7 range I did mean, of course. Though, to think about it, a 7AP bow would be an interesting choice.
