CyberLords was really not fun. At least from my perspective.
By opinions are like...you know what.

I played all the way through Cyber Lords as a "learning experience" but personally found the storyline and quests to be limited in scope. I felt like I was just executing instructions as given to me in a sequence.
However, the game's artwork, animation and programming is really impressive to me. If only I had those crazy skills! We will just keep banging away on our games and see what we can make in the next 10 months.
Trust me, CK is going places ... give me 10 months and I'll give you my best.

hey, just a quick note:
i think it is negotiation skill - if any- that would help to mitigate rep loss sellin to a fixer
(look, chummer: if mars finds out about this, you won't see another file from me)
i say -if any- because of how tightly the corps watch the NBZ. as the world gets more connected, it gets harder to stay completely anonymous. it's a task, but corps definitely have the resources to tap into the surveillance grid - it wouldn't even be there if not for their technology, after all.
i wonder if any of the "elite" areas will be off-grid?

the elite areas will be all over the globe, both inside the domes and beyond.
who knows how far this is going to go but it is built to grow and grow easily.

Thanks, never would have figured that part out and feel a bit herp/derpish not to have sorted that out sooner. liath - Also, =be sure to scroll down the button list= or you will never have fun in the Matrix =) There are buttons hidden below the 5 or 6 you might be able to see that let you do stuff, and if you aren't using them, then you'll never make a credit. Specifically, I would say try to save up for a Rating 2 data jak and get yourself to 4-6 Hacking and you can crank out some serious credits if you are careful. Good luck! Already had both of those things, hence the reason I was wondering wtf. ;D

Is there any chance of introducing graphics to the matrix in the future? I find the text to be confusing at best

Well.. it does kinda simulate what a hacker (without a matrix jack and an avatar) would be seeing...
If we ever get more put into the hacking part (which just gains you incredible amounts of money with a lot of time spent in there), along with graphics maybe we get Black ICE? Hehehe

I have many plans for the Matrix. The existing "console cowboy" view will always be part of the system, but as we expand the systems more and more graphics will be added to show:
- Constructs - Loaded Programs - Context (Security, Trace, Deck, etc)
I have big plans, but the same type of game it is today -- node-based exploration with a button mashing tactical turn-based game that is backed by a long term strategic game of getting the best computer, fastest chips, hottest codes.

And you know I was a master of the game "Decker" back in the day. Hard as heck but for SR 1st Edition GM it was like, awesome. I also really liked "Uplink" and "Hacker: Evolution" Uplink was badass.

There's also the old Netrunner BBS door that has been quality inspiration for some of the above, as well.

i just dropped a 5 star review on cyberlords that told everyone to try CK. I say we all do that on related games. i dont know about you guys, but i usually do check out reccomendations in the reviews, unless they look like they are bot generated.
