Not for Heroes of Steel because it would change balance of game but had an idea whilst playing through and watching the counter on the buffs count down. (Cool feature btw... very useful)
Suggestion is for a future game (am I mixing games up or did I read once you plan on making a Steel trilogy of 4 episodes each).
Dimminishing buffs. Instead of after x turns they turn off how about if they drop a % of effectiveness over time. I was thinking as playing it would add another layer of tactics... so when down to 50% effectiveness you have to think: ok, do I rebuff now or save points and wait for buff to completely go and then recast.
Just a random thought I had, no idea if it would work well in real life. I imagine spells would slowly lose power over time in real life (if spells were real).
Wouldn't work in HoS this far in the game but suggestion if/when you do a sequel.
