Also this site seems to be outdated: www.corytrese.com/games/startraders/game_guide.html And it pops up on Google search for players guide, the guides on blog are maybe not up to date either. It would be a good idea to delete those obsolete and outdated pieces of information. Just a thought. |

That guide is very brief but does not seem to be inaccurate to me. From an SEO standpoint, deleting it will probably not help us reach more readers.
It could use an update tho, and I have added it to my list.
The guides on the blog are just that -- guides, not exhaustive systems documentation.
Because they get so many hits per day I feel they're still being used. Are there any in particular that you found to be very out of date?

I just thought that it is going to be increasingly difficult to keep all the shattered information up to date. Cannot say if it is or it is not accurate, but it seems to miss new information. Also some planned changes to the game will make the information obsolete in the future.
Maybe just a link to common places with the newest and the most up to date information would be good. Searching for the most recent information on the net was a bit of turn down for me in the beginning.
Anyway, these are just random thoughts. I have my starts with ST in a fresh memory. Sorry for OT.

If I may add one more tip that I learned today while testing on Crazy, is try not to fall on criminal status before you are strong enough AND have a good enough ship to fend off Bounty Hunters.
I was doing good today @ lv13 crazy, Millitary Officer, when the final contract push steel song on putting my face on their most wanted list. Still flying the VV (I should've bought the escape shuttle) when a Jango class got me in 2 rounds. I now officially HATE steel song.

Yaay ... I've been a founding member of "Take time out to disintegrate a Steel Song ship club". You're welcome to join up. Membership cost - destroy 5 SS ships in the space of a year.

I've been tolerating them for a long time and I kept lying to myself thinking that they're not that bad, I should give them another chance, there's hope for them...but noooo they keep on poking the big bear. You mess with the bull, you get the horn!
This is my new motto:
Make the quadrant a better place, punch steel songers in the face.
I will never type steel song with the first letters in capital. I cannot loose respect to someone I never had in the first place.
