It is largely situational and highly dependent on available AP pool. My personal preference (assuming the mob has NO debuffs right now) is something like this: I can kill mobs in this turn? Armor/dodge/parry/elemental curses, then try to actually kill it. Mob doesn't want to die right now? AP/accuracy curses, then anything that I have AP for.

krakun- it all depends. -First cast pure curses, I.e. Strickening/Ash/Flash Freeze as they never miss their mark and are perfect to begin a fight with -Then, if you need more Dodge/Parry, hit em with DS. -If you don't need the curse, and want to stack damage, then I would hit with Punishing Blades and just let loose with TK All in all, there is no one way for all different groups. Which is exactly why TK are so useful and versatile- use them however you need to to get the job done. Frigid Air has no bearing on TK, as it only affects Accuracy and Damage

abysmal, anrdaemon is correct here: Dex adds both defense and offense, and is pound for pound the best way to build him. HOWEVER, I wouldn't neglect Constitution, as extra HP are always useful once enemies are able to bypass your dodge and parry. Skill wise also depends on what you need him to do. if you plan on having him on the frontline, I would go 2:1 blade:parry. If you want him to be primarily TK, reverse those points. Lore is important, and he usually gets 2-3 points, just to extend his buffs. I always give him 2 points of Intelligence, just so he has plenty of SP to burn, as TK become expensive very quickly if it is your main attack.

So, I used this guide as inspiration and have been experimenting with boosted builds.
I particularly like playing with pure TK Kincaid, Choking Ash+Firebolt Kjartan, Ethereal Anguish+Buff+Minor heal Kyera and Dodge tank+Punishing Blades Selen.
Kincaid gets all the damage gear as that goes with TK nicely, Kjartan gets all the best HP/armor gear as he totally needs it on nightnare, Kyera gets the SP gear as EA is pretty SP heavy and Selen gets all the best dodge/parry gear.
Seems to work pretty well. I lead with Choking Ash and EA, follow up with punishing blades on the closest enemies, then clean up with Kincaid and then move forward. If I have lots of enemies who're all cursed, then Firebolt comes into play. I could put in a couple of points into Holy Retribution for Kyera so that she'll be able to do some damage to dearmored enemies. And maybe invest in Firestorm a bit for huge long range AoE. I'll have to max out both Warder's shield and Quicksilver defense plus put a few points into pureflame shield and piety ward to keep Selen as my tank but I think it's doable - then again, I don't really know what really late game is like. Is this viable?

I would say Banishment >> Holy Retribution. Otherwise, yes, your build is viable, just with Selen being your only tank it seems to be based on luck alone. Not the kind of a build I would like.

I'm finding Kincaid to be a reasonable off tank. And Kyera can take more than a couple of hits too as I'm pumping up constitution and intelligence for her

Well, from your description ("Kincaid get all damage gear") wasn't clear, if he grew to be viable tank. But if you say so… then all props to you

For the love of gods, you're not in chat. Write full names, noone's holding you at the gun point.

anrdaemon- heh? I abbreviate all the time, and I have no problem with people doing it if it's a well known talent, I'm just not sure on TO...

Even knowing, or being able to deduce, the full names of skills from abbreviations, it doesn't make posts full of abbreviations any more readable. Now, imagine, I'm reading the post about a character I never played. How much sense making all these tk/qsd/wtf? I accept the need for brevity in live chat conversations, but even then, it is often unnecessary, as noone is in a hurry.

The OP is clear when abbreviations are being used, I don't understand what the issue is... I do most of my posts on a clunky phone keyboard, so being able to abbreviate is just something I (and many others) are going to do out of not wanting to type out every single talent every single time I type it out.

My stupid cell phone auto-corrected on me - it was meant to be TK. I tried to use the same terminology as the OP.(Original Poster)
