I'm new here and I just joined in ... so please forgive me, if my proposual is somewhere in this forum mentoined already ... Currently I play on crazy LV+30 and I really often use the Zoomed Map (mostely before accepting/rejecting contracts). I would wish the Zoomed Map would have same (or similar) softkeys as the normal Map to make it possible to get faster (with lesser clicks) in and out. Anyway I like this game, even when it makes addictive  Greets, rainman |

To get to the Zoom Map quickly, click on the "Menu" button of your device, then select "Zoom Map". Once you're finished, click on the "Back" arrow of your device.
Is that the kind of thing you were after - or were you after a button on the navigation screen itself?

I'm curious as well. I don't fully understand what "soft buttons" are, even though they exist on the normal Map.

I interpret this request to mean please put a zoom map button on the main map screen along with bridge, wilds, urban, etc. Make it one step instead of 2. I find myself wanting this feature quite often. Going to the zoom map is done so often that I too think it warrants its own button on the main map and perhaps other screens.

Exactly. Make it one click to zoom in and out without the need of HW buttons.

Looks like we could fit the button into the bottom bar on tablets and landscape screens.
It definitely doesn't fit on the references devices in portrait.

I have a bit stupid question. What is to the left of "Bridge" button anyway? I happen not to remember  . Could not get anything displayed in there and as far as I remember there is only Bridge / Urban / Wild / Start. What am I missing? |

That is where the first mate's head pops up to give you information.
Perhaps you could replace the head for a zoom button and have the head appear on the screen above it? That would make the first mate's head appear more important as a bounus too.

I have never found those little first mate tips useful, in my opinion, star map would fit there better |

I will look at what the suggestion made by Fenikso will cost in terms of hours of work to see how feasible it is. hayenne The first mate tips are intended for new players and we have received a lot of feedback that he is helpful. However, the First Mate advice is a place holder for the upcoming officers overhaul which will extend that button to include advice from all officers, not just the first mate. I suspect in the future you'll find the advice more relevant than just the beginner tips offer by the First Mate. |

Maybe you should push the First Mate's head and it expands to show you a galactic map that was tattooed onto his cheek. ... or it could be like one of those squeezable stress toys. Just got boarded by pirates - just squash the First Mate's head and your crew morale will go up by 1
